I like Amol Rajan too, though it took a few weeks for him to settle in.

I’m wondering what on earth there is to dislike about Stephen Fry.

I don’t like Amol Rajan on University Challenge because his speech isn’t clear.

I really like him. Thought no-one could replace Paxman but he is much nicer with the contestants. (Also I saw him in our local park with a small baby in a sling - aaaah!!) Oh and I find him easy to understand!

If anyone’s interested 😴 here’s the Jeopardy manual. It might explain the answer thing.

Jeopardy contestants are of avery high standard.I like the tougher questions too.The toughest quiz on tv is without a doubt Only Connect,which I also like.

Because you’re supposed to be suggesting the question that could be asked to provide the answer that you’ve been given.
Unnecessary waffle IMO.

I don’t like Stephen Fry, never have but I am not sure why. One of those dislike at first sight things I suppose. He is probably a perfectly nice man, I don’t know.

I quite liked it. My favourite was Impossible because to really had to concentrate to avoid the impossible answers.

The endless What is before the answer is the most irritating bit.

Awful quiz ... and I cant stop watching Stephen Fry's nose as its wonky ...

Boring and Stephen Fry sounds so false and reading a script. But Stephen Mulhern in Deal or no Deal is just as bad and I like both of them. Maybe I'm just fed up of game shows

I ve given it two go s not getting any more of my precious time thanks, I m not a great Stephen Fry fan and he’s as dull as ditchwater in this I don’t get the answer with a question thingy and find that doubly irritating and don’t want to get used to it thanks It’s had all it’s getting from me and I don’t sound alone if this threads anything to go by

I like Amol Rajan on University Challenge. I did like Jeremy Paxman too but he could be quite haughty at times.

Not for me I’m afraid.

As a couple of folk have said, it's been running since the dawn of (TV) time in the States, where people have won huge sums.

It was also the source of a major scandal, and a feature film about that problem. And yes it has that odd feature of answering with a question, but you can get used to that.

We've watched masses of quizzes over the years, serious and more light-hearted ones, and of course not all are to everyone's taste. Stephen Fry is a very gifted chap, but he looked uncomfortable to us in that role, and kept saying "response" instead of "answer" which looked like he was just trying to sound extra clever?

In this one you can get some tough questions, as well as the easier variety, that style of having a set of questions on the same theme means that you might meet a topic you know nothing about?!

Straying to another quiz, does anyone see University Challenge? The new host (post Paxman) is Amol Rajan, has the wildly irritating habit (to us) of speeding up in the last few minutes, trying to squeeze in extra questions, so he ends up gabbling like one of those madcap American livestock auctioneers, almost totally unintelligible?!

I don't like it either, I found it irritating and boring.

I've given it a couple of goes but think SF is the wrong host. He comes over as decidedly insipid to me (and I know he's not).
