started yesterday. I'm enjoying this. I don't like Stephen Fry usually but he is on the ball in this and much more lively may I say.

Thanks for the tip off lemsip. I'll take a look.

BlueBelle Tue 02-Jan-24 17:56:48

I didn’t like it at all, had a look, but won’t bother again

crazyH Tue 02-Jan-24 17:57:55

I’m with Bluebelle - don’t like it one wee bit

Dottydots Tue 02-Jan-24 18:20:40

I stuck at it for about ten minutes and then turned it off.

I wasn’t keen. The questions are of a decent standard, but I found the idea of “answering with a question” a bit odd and tiresome.

Pittcity Tue 02-Jan-24 18:45:23

I gave it a try and think it's quite tedious. No jeopardy at all. Apart from The Chase, I think that BBC quizzes are better. Knowledge and/or fun rather than big cash prizes.

Pittcity Tue 02-Jan-24 18:49:50

The US version has been running for 60 years, so it must have something.

Oldnproud Tue 02-Jan-24 18:49:56

My main gripe with this quiz is that it goes on far too long. I lost interest halfway through.

ginny Tue 02-Jan-24 19:43:52

Yes, we watched yesterday and didn’t think much of it.
Dare I say we found it too easy! Not something we would normally feel about a good quiz.

nanaK54 Tue 02-Jan-24 19:56:20

Each to their own - I really like it

BlueBelle Tue 02-Jan-24 19:58:31

Why do they have to put that silly question at the front of every answer that irritated me to start with
Ah well easy to turn off which I have I won’t watch it again
🥱🥱

Wasn't this on ages ago? I'm sure I remember it in the 70s.

Yes it was. There were no cash prizes then just points.
They win millions on the US version.

I do like Stephen Fry and I am going to give this quiz a chance. Love The Chase but that has got a bit tired lately, Pointless is much better on BBC.

I watched half of yesterday's show. I also found the way of answering very irritating, so turned off.

Maggiemaybe Wed 03-Jan-24 16:34:04

The answers and questions don’t always tie up either. For example, today the contestants were given a quotation, then had to say, for example, Who is Rupert Brooke? It makes no sense. confused

DH isn’t happy that it’s replaced Tipping Point!

I didn’t enjoy the first episode as I was rallying against answering a question with a question. I recorded episode two and watched it this afternoon. I really enjoyed it and went with the flow. Stephen Fry is an excellent host.

DamaskRose Thu 04-Jan-24 19:46:07

Not for me, can’t stand Stephen Fry on anything.

Anniebach Thu 04-Jan-24 19:49:20

I like Stephen Fry and enjoy this quiz

frankie74 Fri 05-Jan-24 11:09:07

I generally like Stephen Fry in his various acting roles and when he did QI. But I find him deadly dull on Jeopardy

Quizzer Fri 05-Jan-24 11:09:49

They keep saying that Jeopardy’s is new to UK TV. It isn’t! I was on it 20 odd years ago, filmed by Southern TV but transmitted nationally. No I didn’t win any money 😟

pascal30 Fri 05-Jan-24 11:12:02

I saw Stephen Fry on anAmerican series called Bones recently. He was playing a British psychiatrist to absolute perfection

Annanan Fri 05-Jan-24 11:18:02

Couldn’t watch it. Don’t like the format and I can’t stand Stephen Fry

merlotgran Fri 05-Jan-24 11:35:12

Why do they have to put that silly question at the front of every answer that irritated me to start with

I looked in on it half way through and thought I must have missed some sort of explanation at the beginning.

I agree, it’s irritating.
