For the Love of Dogs

Just read that Alison Hammond is taking over this show following the death of the late great Paul O'Grady.
Several other people I could think of immediately who would be far more suited to this role. Ricky Gervaise, Julian Clary, Martin Clunes to name a few.
My feeling is that Alison Hammond is just flavour of the month with no real affinity with animals. Paul O'Grady was of course the ultimate ambassador for Battersea and animals generally.
