I recently had a hysterectomy and so I am recuperating and looking for a really good TV series to watch. I loved watching Last Tango in Halifax, The Split, Happy Valley, Call the Midwife and currently watching The Flood when its on. I love anything with Sarah Lancashire and Nicola Walker in. Any ideas?? Thank you for reading.
Currently enjoying A Thousand Blows on Disney. By the makers of Peaky Blinders so pretty violent. Still not as good as Renegade Nell which for some reason didn’t get a second series. I always listen to Must Watch on BBC Sounds because their tv recommendations are usually spot on.
Nicola Walker is in Annika as a detective. Other shows I’ve liked are The Chelsea Detective, Miss Scarlet and the Duke, The Marlow Murder Club and Recipes for love and murder.
Nicola Walker was in four excellent episodes of Series 3 of Scott and Bailey. It was a longer-running storyline than usual, loosely based on the West case. It's on ITVX but showing as Premium so only available to subscribers.
I've thought of another one. The Serpent on BBC iPlayer. It's a true story about a serial killer in the 70s who kills young travellers in Thailand. It's chilling but compelling, with Jenna Coleman as his girlfriend/accomplice. I might rewatch it, now I've remembered about it.
Thank you to everyone for your choices. I am writing a list out and have a look at them this afternoon. Heavy rain here and snow on the way. Each day I am getting better and stronger and thank you for your kind words. 3 weeks on monday since the hysterectomy and 3 weeks after that and I will be able to drive! Yahoo!
Just finished watching 'And Then There Were None' on iPlayer. A three part mini series with Charles Dance as one of the characters. Based on the book by Agatha Christie.
