I enjoy watching Susan I find her extremely funny and I love the places she visits I particularly loved the cruises, all to their own I suppose

I didn't know she was Sue Perkins' partner.

I love the phrase ‘gets on my wick’ MissAdventure. I don’t think she’s very nice. She deliberately outed Sue Perkins when their relationship ended, it wasn’t her call to do that, it was Sue’s when she was ready. That wasn’t kind.

I’m sorry .Susan, but I find you noisy and excessively over reactions, flinch making and although with a different presenter I would probably appreciate your programmes, after suffering your first programme I can not watch it again

Re the 1st Minister. Susan could be 1st Minister but Scotland is in a quandary without Nicola who was a phenomenal leader. Being PM would be an easier gig for Susan. Failing that Get in Nicola to clean the dross from the Palace of Westminster. Bet she’d ask the Lords to reapply for their jobs. What a film that could be!

Well to my shame I did once mis-identify Susan Colman on a panel show as Ruth Davidson, the then leader of the Scottish Conservative Party. I thought she was very witty for a politician. In my defence I am face blind.

LucyD - the fact that you prefer Jane McDonald to anyone says volumes about your (lack of ) judgement. We once walked out of a show of hers at half-time having got thoroughly fed up with all the relentless guff about "ma mum int Werkfeeeeeeld" (or wherever she is).

Calman is trying to introduce Cruises to folk who may never have considered such a holiday, and/or a few new locations to existing cruise fans. As such, she does a passable job, once you allow for the degrees of forced jollity that it entails. She must be getting decent viewing figures, as she's been commissioned for more shows.

Oh, and that "TV for stupid" by Sago, big chunks of TV ARE indeed for "the stupid", or perhaps for those with a severely reduced critical faculty. Hence the popularity of assorted Big Brothers, Love Islands, Made in . .half a Dozen places with wannabe 'celebs', and several shows with the odious and massively unfunny 'Keith Lemon'. Etc. Those viewers would probably not like your choices of Radio 3, wall to wall Andre Rieu, or similar fare? Oh, and DO BE CAREFUL walking round the average supermarket, you could catch something from the other customers, and the staff. Be careful out there.

I had the TV on last night, and saw the most beautiful place, with lovely old Joanna Lumley presenting the programme. 🙂
It was thoroughly enjoyable, because she knows how to take a back seat.

Then twice hairy chested men in kilts came on and started exercising.

For Lesley and that ludicrous "no travel shows" -- C4 has run many years of informative Place in the Sun shows, with a variety of presenters, most of whom are fine.

It also has done some short series called "Travel Man . . .48 hours in XYZ", the most recent host is the witty Joe Lycett, each show with a different guest for a weekend away somewhere. They take a perhaps off the wall look at locations, but with example costings, and you get a decent flavour of wherever XYZ is. It benefits from Joe Lycett being far funnier than Susan Calman ever will.

I don't like him, either.

For LovelyLady and that "Nicola who was a phenomenal leader", WHAT??!! Phenomenal leader of, well, a pub quiz team perhaps, or like the dreadful Corbyn/Abbott duo, perhaps a small committee checking bus times somewhere?

Masses of evidence points to 'Nicola' being a preening deluded incompetent, with some tasty scandals falling out of the woodwork. [NB - I have no influence over the Scottish Parliament, and have healthy doubts about all politicos, all badges].
