Echo Blue Lights, Granite Harbour and Red Eye - though Red Eye requires some allowance for dramatic licence. And, it does have the gorgeous Richard Atmstrong to recommend it

Blue Lights is excellent - well acted and a plot that keeps me on the edge of my chair. I've also been watching The Man in Fall which is strangely addictive, given that I can't feel much sympathy for any of the characters. The 'Man' in question is not entirely unlike Trump.

The Man in Fall on Netflix, a new series adapted from a Tobias Wolfe novel stars Jeff Daniels. About a dodgy businessman, his trophy wife, the ex wife and others and their part in his downfall. Only 6 episodes but binge watched over 2 evenings.

I recently watched Clocking Off on BBCiPlayer following advice by a GNetter - thoroughly enjoyed the down to earth characters and storylines.

One tonight Channel 4, The Gathering, might be worth a look.

I confess I'm not usually drawn to anything "based on real life" unless shrouded in the mists of time. I will take a look though. I think a couple of these are based on true stories.

Bodkin on Netflix.

Thank you.
I appreciate your suggestions and will take a look!

I enjoyed Granite Harbour too.
It reminded me of one many years ago called 55%North.
I shall look for that again.
I have recently enjoyed Hijack with Idris Elba and Red eye.
Still got Blue Lights on hold.
My GD and I have enjoyed the adaptations of some Harlen Coben books.

Mrs Wilson on Netflix.

I watched it several years ago when it was serialised but now all episodes are on NF and I'm watching it again. It's based on a true story in the actress Ruth Wilson's family and it's fascinating. Ruth Wilson stars.

"Prisoner" BBC 4 with Sophie Grabol from "The Killing"
Slow Horses (Apple)
A lot of the " Walter Presents " stuff (Channel 4) is Scandi Noir stuff and if you enjoyed "Reindeer Mafia" you might enjoy some of them.
"Traces" BBC1
Ripley Netflix
Wallander Netflix also I think
Young Wallander
"For All Mankind" Apple

I agree about Blue Lights. It's so good.

I have quite enjoyed Granite Harbour too.

Blue Lights is brilliant. Watch series one first.

“Revenge” on channel 5. Set in the US, will draw you in, or not. It’s a long series, but I stuck with is over several weeks. My perception of the protagonist changed by the end.

Enjoyed: Reindeer Mafia, Seaside Hotel, The Mafia only kills in Summer, The Man in the High Castle (mainly), A Place to call Home, Shardlake, Pren ar y Bryn, The Tourist

and others

Looking for something else... ideas welcome!
Thank you.
