Theyre certainly worth a look.

The Manfreds featuring Paul Jones and Mike D'Abo 😃

Apart from the famous ones already mentioned, Fleetwood Mac, Red Hot Chili Peppers (because DD likes them), Cyndi Lauper

Apart from singers, Joe Wicks, Janina Ramirez, Maggie Aderin and Alice Roberts could be interesting.

Who knew there were so many bands?

It's the Red Hot Chilli Pipers who are playing at Glastonbury this year - not the Peppers grin

Paul Heaton, Fatboy Slim, and being a boyband fan, I confess to also liking Scouting for Girls.

I have heard of Shania Twain.

Coldplay perhaps?

Well, that’s a start grin,

Seasick Steve used to play in a pub not far from me.

Love Coldplay, Keane and Shania Twain.

I will be in the kitchen dancing away whilst DH is in the sitting room watching a detective thingy 🤣🤣🤣

I too enjoyed The Prodigy on Friday, caught up with The Pretenders and Pet Shop Boys over the weekend, thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm not overwhelmed by this year's line-up, to be honest. Billy Bragg is always worth listening to, and I'd go and see James, Avril Lavigne, The Snuts, Squeeze and Seasick Steve.

MayBee I stayed up to watch The Prodigy. Thought their set was great. I did ask my son if I should still be watching them at 78 and he thought it was OK!

I don’t subscribe to Sky so I can’t rewatch it on catchup. I wonder if it will be repeated?

Coldplay, Keane. Nitin Sawhney, Bombay Bicycle Club would be my ones to check out (especially Coldplay)

Keane were brilliant the other night. Wasn’t there someone on gransnet that used to teach him at school?

Good gracious. Aren’t you all into your bands.
I’ve never heard of any of them.

Does anyone listen to the Folk on Foot podcast? I’ve discovered so many new bands from listening to it.

I LOVE The Mary Wallopers. As the child of Irish parents, I have always loved Irish music. These young musicians are keeping the music alive.

I loved The Prodigy on Friday at the Isle of Wight festival. I didn’t know they’d reformed and they were never a band that I particularly liked but they were brilliant.

Bridie22 Mon 24-Jun-24 22:33:52

I'm looking forward to the Mary Wallopers also, I think Cyndi Lauper and Shania Twain sets should be good to watch.

Johnnie Flynn and The River People are playing the folk stage on Saturday night. Lankum are playing earlier and I think The Mary Wallopers are on, too. Really looking forward to that: just hope they show the full set.
