From "Porridge", so many of Fletch's one-liners & punch lines that I couldn't possibly list them all. Ronnie Barker's delivery was always spot on and he never looked as though he was playing to an audience (one of the great skills which every comedy actor needs).
A few scenes from "Dad's Army" were also memorable. I was in a German train when the conductor was trying to sort out a problem with another tourist's ticket. "Vot iss your name?" he asked. A lone British voice piped up from the back, "Don't tell him, Pike." Much mirth from the rest of us, which confused the conductor no end.

Wonderful! It was my father’s favourite. Loved only fools and horses too. Many of the MASH episodes had me crying with laughter and then sometimes with emotion. I loved that programme and discovered with delight that it was repeating on some other channel and saw quite a lot of them again.

Oh Casdon,the two Ronnie's Morris dancing was my favourite too. I played it to my 13 year old grandson and he fell about laughing he also loved the Life of Brian sketch of " Biggus Dickus".

All episodes of Dinner Ladies. Watched many times over and DH and I still laugh out loud. Impeccable, stellar cast which clearly enjoyed every minute performing, and some of the cleverest scripts I’ve ever heard.
Also the Lumberjack Song and the Fish Slapping Dance from Monty Python.

So many it’s really hard to choose one or two. But if I had to they’d both be Victoria Wood’s exercise classes.

On Father Ted, Mrs Doyle was trying to guess the name of a priest. She was throwing out random names and this carried on throughout the night. Suddenly she guessed the right name! Also loved when she helped Dougle to wash himself when he had a bath. Then there was the time Ted bought her a tea making machine and she was devastated.

I also found the German train story hilarious. British humour at it's best. I still find the old comedy shows very funny, but rarely the programmes that are on tv these days.

My DH was shocked this afternoon that Benny Hill show was being shown, he thought it would’ve offend too many people nowadays

I loved it when Mrs Doyle was sweet on the coal man, I think he was, so she was wearing lipstick all around her mouth.

Also when they were giving up something for lent, there was a knock at the door, and father Ted saw a giant cig, spelling out "lovely fags" with it's smoke.

One foot in the grave,when Victor and Mrs Worboys get stuck with one foot each in a cement bag like a 3 legged race.

Julie Walters - "Two Soups". Any of Victoria Wood's output. The Two Ronnies - very clever wordplay, and the Four Candles sketch never fails to amuse.

The whole of “An Audience with Billy Connolly” in 1985, but particularly the “Incontinence Pants” piece. I watch it on YouTube every once in a while, still love it. Lots of famous faces in the audience, sadly quite a few no longer with us.

Billy is an excellent story teller, I love to watch him, whether serious or funny.

I like him talking about anything and everything.

Father Ted episode where they kick Bishop Brennan up the arse or any Father Ted episodes, always got me laughing so much I would have tears tripping me.

Me too. Especially the episode where a few of his parishioners are outside looking at him through the window and there’s a Hitler style dark moustache smudge on the window which appears to belong on Father Ted, and he waves his arms around.One of them later says to him, ‘ I’m not sure I have time to be a racist Father, what with all the farming’😂
The episode of the caravan holiday is also a classic.

The caravan one is my absolute favourite.

I had a friend, who was a member of a church choir, just like that. The tears were rolling down my face, watching it.

Is that the one with Graham Norton River dancing?

I also love rewatching Dinnerladies . A bit more recent but made me and DH laugh so much was the episode of Car Share where they went to the zoo/wildlife park and ended up with a monkey in the car. Peter Kay’s character’s reaction was just hilarious .

Fawlty Towers - the last scene of Basil the Rat!
