Strictly restarts this Saturday when it will be the pairing up of celebs and pros..... which may even be less cringe-making than usual. grin

I don't know many of this year's celebs, but nothing new to that, and no doubt I shall get hooked in as usual.

Hellogirl I totally agree. These trained dancers should not be invited to the show.

Time for the voters next year to revolt and vote them out at the very start maybe.

Not meaning to sound spiteful, but I don`t want Tasha to win. She`s a highly trained dancer, I prefer to see someone win who was never used to dancing.

never used to dancing ....... and can't SEE ..... that would have to be Chris then.

Sparklefizz 👍

I want Chris to win, how Diane has managed to teach him is miraculous, they both deserve the Glitter Ball this year.

Sparklefizz Wed 11-Dec-24 08:35:40

GrannyGravy13 Definitely. I vote for him every week.... and every week I cry when he dances.

Its been a funny one this year.

I hope Chris wins. I have always said that if Strictly was purely a dance competition then the public should not be involved in the vote. On a personal level Tasha, for me, even though technically excellent, does not connect with me or hold my attention, whereas Chris draws me in. I also liked Pete for that reason.

I have no issue with people having previous dance experience or training, simply because they can be the best dancer but without the 'x' factor (to quote another show) they usually end up the runner up. I voted for Layton (sp) last year because he did draw me in and, personally, i saw an improvement in technique.

I agree about Chris too.
But I also think that dancers with experience are needed in the show to bring added value. I question whether I would watch it if they weren't included, but maybe that's just me.

Yes Dogsmum2, Layton is the one we all seem to remember for being the full package in terms of dance AND entertainment - stealing the limelight.

I agree. People would turn off in droves if every celeb was an Ann Widdecombe or Les Dennis. It would just be too excruciating for those of us who love to watch exciting dancing.

I don't know, I thought Ann Widdecombe was funny, but I agree the show needs balance
Given the different levels of contestants taking part I would vote on whose dance I like and not notice if there thumbs stick out, their feet turned in or there back was not straight.

Tonight is the Final and as we have almost filled up this thread, I will start a new one just for tonight rather than have to start one in the middle of the dancing tonight.
