Cherie on Houseparty was great. Hadn’t Cherie been a model? I recently bought a second hand book online on relationships by her daughter Sarah Litvinov. There was the sound of a door bell at the start of it. Watched when I was off school poorly.

Lorraine Kelly sycophantic, sucking up to all the guests. Embarrassing.

I don't waste my electricity on any programme that gives Katie Price a platform.

I used to watch this program a few years ago. Then it changed, it got loud and the laughs were so .. look at me laughing. Too much.

Lowest common denominator television, I’m afraid.

Houseparty; someone i knew went to see it live, and said how foul Noel Edmunds was, all big pretence.
I think it scarred the man for life, as he had been a huge fan of the show.

He didn't say what Mr. Bobby was like, though.

It's low brow garbage and if a programme called Loose Men was launched with people like Jeremy Clarkson on the panel making sexist comments about women, it would be cancelled after one day and the producer sacked. However, it's OK for a bunch of older women to slag men off and bitch amonf themselves for an hour.

I did watch it a couple of times, but I found it tedious.

I went to a filming of the programme in Shepherd's Bush once. That was enough. It's all very fake and false.
However, there is one of them on IACGMOOH at the moment, and she is coming across quite well. Jane (Moore).

It might sound elitist but probably people who buy redtop tabloids, sit on their backsides all day and probably watch ITV most of the time as it's their level of intelligence. Probably still angry Jeremy Kyle's programme was cancelled as well.

I've seen these programmes a few times and they are absolute bottom drawer television. People on here remember Houseparty, as I do, and this was far better, a group of middle aged women meeting up in a studio set like a house and swapping tips and asking for advice. Also Pebble Mill, a chat and entertainment show that could cover anything from the dangers of smoking to a live performance by Elkie Brooks. Sadly those days are gone.

so many 'never watch it' but say it's awful!

back in the day it was a really good show with lots of laughter, I sometimes watch old ones on 'you Tube'.

now the remit for the show editor seems to be medical problems of the women. yuk! yes it is past it's sell by date now .

I sometimes record Loose Women if they have a guest I am interested in so do get to see it now and then. Most of the women are 'up themselves'. Denise Welch is particularly annoying, a real show off. Just my opinion obviously.

I haven’t seen LW for years. I used to watch it on the days Kaye Adams hosted as I enjoy her sense of humour.

I’m always intrigued by threads about tv programmes as the posters who are the most knowledgeable about them and know all the ins and outs of them are the ones who don’t watch them 😀

I used to watch years and years ago. I enjoyed it then moved on to getting fed up of it so stopped watching.

Were they middle aged or did they just look it?
Definitely middle class so sadly wouldn’t last five minutes these days.

No daytime telly in the late sixties when most young mums were stuck at home so although I thought Houseparty was boring it was better than nothing.

I’ve never watched it, having formed the (snooty) view it’s the kind of light entertainment I loathe. From what I’ve read here, I made the right choice. I loathe all this over emoting, every small event a drama or a crisis.

My late husband's parents died just after we met. Then my dad died the year after we married, then my sister died. I then had a miscarriage, then spent three months in hospital with another pregnancy. My mum died then my brother in law. My husband was ill for eight years then died 10 years ago. Two years ago our daughter got kidney cancer, then her parents both got cancer.

I do not spend my life living on these bad memories
Some people like to want pity all the time. Life is too short, go out and live your life to the full as you never know what is around the corner.
