Channel 4 tonight 9pm NZ drama that sounds right up my street!

Just watched the last episode. Gripping! Best thing I have watched in ages.

After watching Moonflower Murders on iPlayer (recording failed) then Shetland, we decided to leave this for another night.

Oh I loved ‘Mum’ Calendargirl. Of course he was in that - I’d forgotten! Kept trying to place his face. Great actor.

Some on GN thought he came across as creepy.

I didn’t, I felt sorry for him, stuck with doormat ‘mum’, played by Lesley Manville, and her gormless and unlikeable family.

He should have run for the hills!

I thought it was awful, but was in the minority on GN.

I finished it a few days ago, I enjoyed it. I can see it may be a bit Marmite, I found it compulsive viewing, So far I think I've found NZ dramas to be very watchable.

I’m spreading it out slowly and really enjoying it. The main actress is wonderful, believable, brave, fantastic, I can’t praise enough. She has the bravery to show her body on camera (although it’s in cracking shape) and show all her emotions on her face. I don’t want it to end but I long to know the truth!

Watching this and thoroughly enjoying it.
Excellent drama and excellent performances by Peter Mullan ,Robyn Malcom and indeed the whole cast.
Taken all my self-control not to binge watch it.

Brilliant acting I was hooked .

Have watched all 6 episodes over 3 nights. There's a great twist at the end, so worth sticking with. Just wonder how a science teacher who coaches a sports team and does life modelling has time for everything! ( I know it's fiction!)

Now, if it was three or even four, I might persevere with it, but it's one of those dramas that leaves you feeling anxious and quite depressed.

I need something quirky and uplifting, not dismal.

You might find Judge Marianne on More4 more appealing Allira.. It's French, quirky and quite amusing..

Just finished all six episodes.
Bluddy brilliant! Such a twist in the tale in that last episode. I cried. Fabulous acting by all in this production. All the characters were believable and I engaged with them all. I’m so glad I watched it.
