Just got to have yet another thread for us to grumble about our favourite soap, warts and all.

grin

As if Tracy would get involved in a drugs deal just to get revenge on Cassie. And as if Ken would boot his daughter out of the house, however angry he was.

I wonder how Cassie managed to recharge her phone while sleeping on the streets,

In the nail bar, while she was having her red gel nails done.

Surely they didn’t know whether Dee Dee’s baby would be a suitable match for Frankie?

It’s obvious they would go for a definite match if one became available.

🤷‍♀️

I wonder what’s going on with the mysterious phone call between James his partner. He appeared to be building up to asking Deedee something important . Maybe they want to adopt the baby.

Has James Bailey had a head transplant in London?

Yes, we’re not supposed to notice.

Is Evelyn’s beret meant to make her look more ‘studenty’?

Why did Carla not tell Lisa that silly little Betsy was invited
to go in to work with her?

Did Daisy not tell Kit the time she planned to be lighting candles for the baby? Was he meant to be hanging about all afternoon? Where did it take place, Victoria Gardens or the Rovers back yard? I couldn’t decide.

Calendargirl Mon 17-Mar-25 20:28:55

Pleased to see Cassie’s nails are still immaculate, despite being on the streets.

nanaK54 Mon 17-Mar-25 15:23:47

I don't mind Betsy really.
Can't stand the new couple.
Although I really don't like Cassie, I hate this storyline with Tracy assisting her to get hooked on drugs again.
If I could chose an existing couple to run The Rovers it would be Sally and Tim grin

Devorgilla Mon 17-Mar-25 15:09:53

Caution - I think the Tuesday one is on at 9pm but check.
I didn't like Betsy to start with but have warmed to her. I wish Daniel and Daisy would head to London together. Wouldn't it be irritating but fun if the awful couple bought them out of the pub? Kit and Craigie would have their hands full then.

BlueBelle Sun 16-Mar-25 18:55:49

I like Betsy I know she’s playing the part of a spoilt teen but I think she does it well

Maggiemaybe Sun 16-Mar-25 18:51:32

There certainly would - I’d definitely be joining it! grin

My two soaps couldn’t be more different. Corrie with everything on speed. A couple of days from committing a crime to being sent down. 24 hour recovery from life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Houses and businesses changing hands in an afternoon. Holidays, parties and new lives all sorted in the blink of an eye.

And The Archers. Where the biggest excitement in last week’s omnibus was somebody forgetting the notes he’d written for his farm tour and having to get his sister to screenshot them.

Devorgilla thanks for that; I had no idea we were pushed aside yet again.

Kit is never around when you want him. He could take Mick out and knee him in the groin, stopping Mick's nonsense.

Once wouldn't be enough to stop him for long, but there would be a willing queue, I imagine, from the comments on here.

Don't take the newbies at all. Where's tough guy Gary to take him down?

The Great God of Sport has spoken again - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Charleygirl5 Sat 15-Mar-25 18:01:15

I wonder who will be the next to occupy the Corrie hospital bed?

I did not realise Max has now left. I also cannot stand the sight of the new couple. I hope they will not be staying for long.

Crossstitchfan Sat 15-Mar-25 17:27:20

Oh dear, what have the scriptwreckers (sorry, scriptwriters) done now? They are getting impossibly ridiculous at the moment, even more so than usual. Maybe the they think that obnoxious characters are more interesting than nice ones, but they aren’t, not in my opinion anyway.
I can’t for the life of me, take to the new couple. They are unbelievably nasty and I just can’t imagine people acting quite as rudely as they do. Please can we have some decent folk back for a change?
As for Cassie, the sooner she goes the better. She does nothing for the programme and the strange way she twists her mouth is giving me the creeps. How on earth did the lovely Evelyn give birth to that? Also the ghastly Betsy who makes me want to strangle her every time she comes on. That stupid, almost whispering voice, and the way her mouth is always hanging open drive me insane.
Sorry but sometimes I think that the most irritating, plain, untalented people have been dragged into Corrie, and it’s decline saddens me.

Dottydots Sat 15-Mar-25 11:17:07

It seems to be all doom and gloom in Corrie now. Where has all the fun gone? Corrie writers please take note.

Grannynannywanny Sat 15-Mar-25 10:22:34

I agree about the new couple, they are obnoxious. Maybe it’s a credit to their acting but I’ve never disliked characters so much as this pair. They have no redeeming qualities at all.

Surely when they were attempting to go behind the bar and threatening physical violence the police should have been called. Where’s lanky loitering Kit when we need him?

fancythat Sat 15-Mar-25 10:08:48

The new couple I am already whizzing every time they come on.

Calendargirl Sat 15-Mar-25 10:06:32

We can only hope Cassie is one doomed for the chop, and she soon makes her way back to Liverpool in the near future. Not holding my breath though.

The awful new couple, Mick and Lou. Does anyone behave like that in real life, slobbering over each other one minute then fighting the next? Ghastly.

I thought Gemma met her originally at the school gates? Where are the children? Wasn’t she mouthing off about the price of nappies when she first came in? They seem to have plenty of time and money to be in the pub however, and no evidence of young children.

He still reminds me of Wayne Rooney, don’t know if that’s a curse or a blessing.

Grannycool52 Sat 15-Mar-25 09:23:58

I thought the character Evelyn looked well last night, as though university is giving her a new lease of life.
However, handing a couple of hundred pounds in cash to her addict daughter was the height of foolishness. She should have gone to the hotel with Cassie and paid in advance, with an advance allowance for meals.
Of course that wouldn't have fed into the storyline of a middle-aged woman sleeping on the street and whatever is planned for her future.

Kandinsky Fri 14-Mar-25 07:12:47

I stopped contributing to this thread because of all the spoilers. I had no idea Daisy was leaving as I don’t read TV type magazines.
It really does ‘spoil it’ for viewers.
