Just got to have yet another thread for us to grumble about our favourite soap, warts and all.

grin

I agree Sarnia, another daft episode.

I wish Jenny had just said to Kit “Well, the baby’s yours, she’s lying about it being Daniel’s”.

As for the killing of David to get the life insurance……what a load of rubbish.

Sarnia Mon 03-Mar-25 22:56:25

What are the scriptwriters on? A ridiculous episode tonight with Andy being sent by Harvey to murder David so Harvey can get his hands on David's life insurance. Andy bottles out but David comes up with a plan for Andy to run David over and kill him that way.
What will they think of next?

I enjoyed seeing her in Brookside but she was a lot younger. I have not liked her in Corrie and the evil tricks have not helped.

She appeared surprised that Ken was going to prosecute her. I hope he does not back down.

That's it Doodledog - I couldn't pin down what it is about Cassie's face, but yes, she does look as if she is snarling, particularly when she smiles. Unfortunate for her of course, but it doesn't make you warm to the character.

Grannynannywanny Fri 28-Feb-25 14:21:13

I was actually starting to warm to Cassie and hoping the scriptwriters would let her be a reformed character . Then she had to go and spoil it all with her abuse of Ken.

Doodledog Fri 28-Feb-25 09:24:13

Yes, it seems that nobody likes Cassie. There is something about the actress that I'm not keen on. I didn't like her in Brookside either. I know she can't help it, but her face always seems to be snarling.

Grannynannywanny Fri 28-Feb-25 08:35:16

Yes, Fiz and Tyrone seemed like they were softening after listening to Hope. I’d rather Cassie would leave and take Hope to live with her far enough away to give us a break for a while.

Clawdy Fri 28-Feb-25 08:31:35

Great to see Cassie getting her come uppance. Wonder where she will go now, though. Evelyn 's hall of residence?! No, Ty and Fiz will reluctantly have her back, I guess.

Grannynannywanny Fri 28-Feb-25 08:13:18

I agree about Kevin. He’s now quietly seething after seeing Abi and Ronnie happily chatting in the cafe. Abi didn’t help matters by saying she only spoke to Roy.

Calendargirl Fri 28-Feb-25 07:46:27

Also pleased to see Carla well enough to do a spot of spring cleaning before heading out to the Rovers for a quiet drink.

Not bad, considering a week or so ago, she was full of infection after her kidney transplant and kidnapping by her crazy brother.

Think Kevin is playing his part well.

Calendargirl Fri 28-Feb-25 07:20:02

I had also read that Cassie went to see Ken. Was glad Tracy was there and refused to leave.

I suppose her tale of not wanting to lose her job, hence the spiking of his drinks to keep him dependent on her would have very slightly justified her actions, but the misuse of the credit card and buying so much stuff, what on earth was she thinking?

Do hope Ty and Fiz don’t back down on making her move out, despite manipulative Hope kicking off. She and her granny are a good pair.

In combination, a deadly force to be reckoned with, not Bonnie and Clyde, but Granny and GD.

Dottydots

I read that Cassie is going to visit Ken in hospital tonight. I hope he remembers how he confronted her about stealing from him.

I thought that Tracey chasing after Cassie and denouncing her was because Ken had managed to gasp the truth - if he has managed that immediately after his operation, let's hope he doesn't forget when he sees her or, worse still, takes pity on her. Poor Ken can't have anything left of his 50K win after the fabulous holiday, and the spending Cassie has done.

I doubt Evelyn would defend her even if she had qualified.

Calendargirl Thu 27-Feb-25 11:15:04

Surely Alya won’t be called upon to defend Cassie?

I mean, she is going out with Adam, Ken’s GS, so a definite conflict of interests.

Perhaps Evelyn will have qualified by the time it comes to court?

Oh no, silly me, she’s her mother of course….

Another conflict of interests.

Aveline Thu 27-Feb-25 10:40:49

Keeps the pot boiling though! Will he come after Carla in revenge? Will she trust Bobby again?
Cassie for court again obviously - Alya to defend her? Meanwhile where's DeeDee? So many questions!

Charleygirl5 Thu 27-Feb-25 09:12:11

Who cares for his wounds, or have they healed miraculously, and have the sutures been removed? Sleeping in a doorway would usually not be pleasant, but it would be almost impossible after his recent surgery. Very implausible.

BlueBelle Thu 27-Feb-25 07:08:33

You might be right Calandergirl they’re all a bit samey aren’t they and very unrealistic Everyone seems to go straight to prison or young offenders whatever the wrong doing is but then they all immediately go into the same one vacant hospital bed too
Rob s still running around after being 99% dead 🤣🤣

Calendargirl Thu 27-Feb-25 06:56:00

The ‘sitting room’ court scenes are marginally better than the prison or hospital ones though.

No mention of Rob, expect Weatherfield’s finest are still out looking.

BlueBelle Wed 26-Feb-25 21:47:56

I didn’t really think tonight was that good I m getting really bored with the ‘sitting room’ court scenes They have been done to the limit with nearly all the youngsters in the show having been in there at some point
Glad Cassies got found out hopefully she ll disappear with the rest of the fastly departing actors

Aveline Wed 26-Feb-25 21:30:52

Poor Dylan. Good storylines tonight. Quite the double twist re Cassie. Just when she thinks she's getting away (in Tyrone's car) she's arrested and accused of attempted murder. Couldn't happen to a nicer person grin

You’d think Dylan’s mum would have come up to offer her son support.

Sean is a right wimp, Dylan having to be the strong one.

6 months will soon go, could have been worse.

I just know how badly decent young people would cope in those places. I worked in colleges in a deprived area for years, and saw people like Dylan get sucked into things they wouldn't have done on their own. It still upsets me to think about it.

Calendargirl Wed 26-Feb-25 20:57:56

Hurray!

Oh no!

Ken just cottoned on to the dreadful Cassie, and now struck down!

Hope he pulls through and denounces her!
