Just got to have yet another thread for us to grumble about our favourite soap, warts and all.

grin

Oh, poor Dylan!

And Ken. I hope Cassie gets her comeuppance.

Calendargirl Wed 26-Feb-25 20:29:13

Oh no!

Ken just cottoned on to the dreadful Cassie, and now struck down!

Hope he pulls through and denounces her!

I watched an old episode of "The Cops' last week. There was the actor who played John Stape, then Julie was in it as a policewoman and a huge Eileen as a sergeant. She looked much better as her larger self.

Calendargirl Tue 25-Feb-25 17:36:40

I also find Kit attractive Maggie, he has a gorgeous smile, but he doesn’t use it enough.

I don’t think Julie ever married Brian, did she Doodledog?

As for Eileen, her time in the jungle ruined her. She just seems so miserable and odd now.

Doodledog Tue 25-Feb-25 17:06:56

Yes, it's shaping up that way.

Eileen used to be one of my favourite characters, but she's turned into a real sourpuss lately, and I don't like her at all. Wasn't Julie married to Brian? Maybe we'll see more of him now she's back?

Daniel was even more annoying than usual last night, constantly talking over Daisy and not letting her get a word in edgeways. He might have been told the truth if he’d just let her speak. Personally I think Kit would be a better bet. Or am I just swayed by the fact that he’s very easy on the eye? smile

I was pleased to see Julie back, but it looks like we’re going to have another sad storyline…

Crossstitchfan Tue 25-Feb-25 14:24:48

I have just been complaining elsewhere about the fact that Call the Midwife has gone downhill. Now I am having to do the same about Corrie! Are ALL the programmes I love going to go down the pan??

LovesBach Tue 25-Feb-25 14:18:13

There seems to be something a little complicated going on here. Is it possible that the father is neither Kit nor Daniel - how about Ryan? Could Daisy have been secretive because the test result showed neither of the known potential fathers? 'Just a thought - she has been enjoying a lively romantic life over the past few months.

Cabowich Tue 25-Feb-25 11:56:03

Did I miss an episode? I didn't realize Daisy knew the results of the DNA test. The last I saw, she threw the results letter in the bin without looking at it, after Bethany had advised her to stop depending on men. Now, all of a sudden, she says the baby is Kit's. Or was I mistaken and did she read the results before throwing the letter in the bin?

Grannynannywanny Tue 25-Feb-25 11:40:15

I began to wonder last night if Ken was already on to Cassie . It’s a pity in a way that they’ve turned her into a baddie. She and Steve seem a good match. I thought they’d let her be a reformed character now she’s leading a drug free life.

Charleygirl5 Tue 25-Feb-25 10:37:21

Will anybody in that house ever catch on to what she is doing? Ken never appears to open the parcel because it will be in Cassie's name. I cannot stand the sight of her either.

Sarnia Tue 25-Feb-25 10:26:15

Whatever befalls Daniel in the future episodes, he has it coming to him. He doesn't know what he wants. One minute it's Daisy, then Bethany and now Daisy again. They probably deserve each other. Both of them are economical with the truth.
Meanwhile will someone please send Cassie on a one-way, non-refundable ticket to some far flung place.

Calendargirl Tue 25-Feb-25 07:20:05

Daniel’s love life is so complicated.

Was it only a few weeks ago he was planning his wedding to Bethany, now he swears undying love for Daisy and is willing to give her and Jenny thousands of pounds for a (probably) failing pub.

And Daisy, with her off-the-shoulder clingy dress still shows no sign of being pregnant.

I wondered how her au pair job in Paris would work out when she was due to give birth? Had she told her future employers that she was pregnant? 🤷‍♀️

No, thought not.

BlueBelle, it's this coming Thursday 27th it's on. You haven't missed anything.

BlueBelle Sun 23-Feb-25 16:04:23

Well I must have missed Thursday as I was watching the apprentice but nothing since Wednesday coming up on iPlayer

Charleygirl5 Sun 23-Feb-25 15:41:01

Thanks for that. I did not realise that sport were still ongoing, but what does it matter to us? I will be able to watch Dragons Den before.

Aveline Sun 23-Feb-25 14:00:10

Will watch Apprentice and record Corrie to watch at the usual time on Friday. Sorted. Must remember not to read posts on it until I've seen the latest one.

Devorgilla Sun 23-Feb-25 13:37:17

Just flagging up the coming week's viewing schedule:
Monday and Wednesday - as normal.
Thusrday - 9.00pm.
Friday - Sport.

Decisions for Thursday. If you also watch The Apprentice you will have to choose.

Aveline Fri 21-Feb-25 12:39:23

Don't forget he has to defrost that lasagne

Maggiemaybe Fri 21-Feb-25 10:17:46

Ronnie’s another one who doesn’t seem to have to knock himself out working for a living. At least looking after Alfie will give him something to do, apart from loafing round the Rovers, the Bistro and Roy’s, looking pretty (not that I object to that wink).

Clawdy Fri 21-Feb-25 08:29:53

BlueBelle

Well Alfie’s been missing for days kev in hospital and Abi in counselling and wandering around in pieces no sign of Alfie never a cry or a change of nappy, never even a mention of where he is or who has him !!

Debbie said Ronnie was minding him.

Maggiemaybe Thu 20-Feb-25 19:59:27

Aveline

The scenes in the hospital with Tim asking daft questions about Kevin's missing testicle were funny and unexpected!

Yes, I thought so too. There was a bit more humour at the undertakers of all places and around the tea dance as well. There’s hope for it yet! grin

Charleygirl5 Thu 20-Feb-25 18:20:47

Apart from tonight with Dragons Den and Beat the Chaser, there is little else for me to watch.

jobieP Thu 20-Feb-25 14:00:54

Makes you wonder why we bother to watch it !

Charleygirl5 Thu 20-Feb-25 14:00:53

Rob looked as though he had showered and was one of the cleaner-looking people on the scene. He must also have a comb permanently in his pocket, as his hair was neat and tidy.

I am surprised Craigie did not find him.
