Is anyone watching this? I’ve switched on now and then as like the camp chats. There is one guy in, never heard of him, however don't know most of them, who seems of very fragile mental health.

I dip in and out.

Do you mean Dean the DJ, he is rather a screamer.

Liz46 Mon 25-Nov-24 07:21:48

I started to watch it but have had enough now.

Louella12 Mon 25-Nov-24 07:24:40

Yep, Dean. He will probably be the first one evicted. Hopefully.

Not me! I wouldn't waste the energy on it. And the fees the celebrities get paid are exorbitant.

Aveline Mon 25-Nov-24 17:02:03

The celebrities are paid what they're worth to the TV company. I'm still watching because I like the social side of it. I record the programmes so I can fast forward through the adverts and trials. Finding out the personalities when there's nowhere for them to hide is interesting. I usually prefer the older campmates as there's usually more too them. Currently, I like Richard Coles and dislike Colleen Rooney -famous for being famous.

Smileless2012 Mon 25-Nov-24 17:11:56

I think Richard could win. Dean's spoiling it for me. I wish the public would stop voting for him for the trials then at least we wouldn't have to listen to him screaming.

Aveline Mon 25-Nov-24 17:16:35

I reckon Maura could win although I'd prefer Richard.
Can't get over how huge Oti has become. Hard to believe she was a lithe dancer.

My vote is for Colleen Rooney- seems a nice girl. Wayne and she were dating from their school days. So obviously, married for love, not money

I enjoy watching it and chatting about it on WhatsApp with my grandchildren. We do the same with Strictly. Dean’s attention seeking behaviour is annoying. I was hoping he’d be first to leave until my granddaughter commented last night that would suit him. He’d go straight to the luxury hotel and have a lovely time while the rest of them are still in camp.

Richard and Maura were comical together in the junk yard and seem to be blending in well to the main camp.

Smileless2012 Mon 25-Nov-24 17:40:43

I hadn't thought of that Grannynannywanny but at least we'd be spared the attention seeking behaviour and screaming.

Grannynannywanny Mon 25-Nov-24 17:48:42

The screaming is dreadful Smileless2012. He was very unpleasant the way he spoke to Alan. I’m sure he thought because it was dark and they were out of the main camp area for firewood that the cameras wouldn’t catch him. I think he showed his true colours in that moment.

Smileless2012 Mon 25-Nov-24 17:51:05

I agree with you and I don't believe him anyway, he didn't want to help get the wood, probably realised it hadn't gone down well and tried to make himself look like the victim.

I think Alan's a nice guy and didn't like the way he spoke to him.

Grannynannywanny Mon 25-Nov-24 18:09:01

I wasn’t convinced Dean was fast asleep. Danny claimed the new bed as he’d been sleeping in a hammock and had a sore back. Dean asked Danny if he would swap places and let him have the new bed and thankfully Danny refused. Then Dean decided to lie on it anyway for a nap and conveniently missed the fact that firewood was needed although it was his task. He has an unpleasant selfish streak that’s coming to the fore.

Twinkle17 Mon 25-Nov-24 18:43:44

I agree, Dean is coming across as quite immature, although I do like watching him do the trials 🤣

Allsorts Mon 25-Nov-24 19:27:52

The ones I like are Colleen, JK, Alan, Danny, Oti and Barry, Can’t abide Richard Coles at all, not keen on Maura.
Dean is selfish, lazy and sly. He managed a couple of small logs, Jane had a sack full. Keep him in doing the hard chores.

Smileless2012 Mon 25-Nov-24 21:35:34

Credit where credit's due, Dean did very well with that trial and without all the screaming shock.

petal53 Mon 25-Nov-24 22:22:02

I rather like Dean and I feel sorry for for him for keep getting voted to do trials. He did extremely well tonight, no way could I have coped with the height, especially the last two stars where the castle board moved.
I think it’s unfair when viewers do this. They’ve done it before, the same person up for the trials night after night. The others get an easy ride when viewers do this. Most of them have never even done one trial.

Grannynannywanny Mon 25-Nov-24 22:22:45

He certainly did Smileless2012. It looked pretty hair raising but he just got on with it tonight. I hope that means he won’t be voted for the next challenge and we’ll have the chance to see someone else in action.

Louella12 Mon 25-Nov-24 22:29:03

I think they like doing trials. They know they'll get more airtime. Which is what they want.

I like most of them. Not keen on Dean and poor Melvin might as well not be there. He's just not getting much attention. Oti is great.

My least favourite is Jane. I'd like to see her evicted first.

escaped Mon 25-Nov-24 22:53:04

I like Oti. There's no flies on her. grin 🪰 🪰

henetha Mon 25-Nov-24 23:16:54

I like all of them and really enjoy the whole thing.
I'm ever so easy to please..😁

00opsidia Tue 26-Nov-24 00:05:51

Maura might win because she is good enough at acting, a little bit manipulative, confident and seems able to game play quite well. After all, it is a game.

I don't like the trials with rats and disgusting things. I know the screaming is awful, but also I would probably scream more.

When is a celebrity not a celebrity?
When their main claim to fame is being married to a rich and adulterous ex-footballer.
Outside of that, Mrs Rooney has no identity.

mum2three Tue 26-Nov-24 06:01:23

I watched this series when it first started but am tired of it now. It's become rather monotonous.
