This is a BBC Radio online vote for your favourite Elvis song. So hard to choose!!! The songs are listed and you get 5 votes, and the results will be broadcast on New Year's Day.

Aaah. I love so many of them but as I grew up with them because my Dad was a great fan, I knew Elvis's early songs when I was still at primary school and they have great memories for me.

Suspicious minds and Don't are 2 of my favourites.

“If I can dream “absolutely wonderful often brings me to tears..

“In the Ghetto” The words are heartbreaking, so probably not the best choice for a dance or party! 🙄😂

I read/heard somewhere that it was Elvis’s favourite, too, but I don’t know if it was ever verified.

I just can't decide. I really, really like them all. That voice!

Kate1949 Fri 06-Dec-24 12:46:16

In the Ghetto for me too. I also like some of the older ones such as The Girl of My Best Friend, His Latest Flame etc.

Cabowich Fri 06-Dec-24 12:50:30

Always on my Mind (then Suspicious Minds, then In the Ghetto, then Marie's The Name, then............etc, etc)

Calendargirl Fri 06-Dec-24 13:10:12

Yes, The Girl Of My Best Friend (must often happen) and Always On My Mind.

But that gorgeous voice could make anything sound good.

Not an Elvis fan , but I do like " Love Me Tender ".

Hellogirl1 Fri 06-Dec-24 15:01:55

I can`t pick one. I love lots of them. I am quite keen on An American Trilogy as performed at the Alohah Hawaii concert, and we`ve chosen his version of A Bridge Over Troubled Water as one of the pieces of music at Lynne`s funeral.

Anything that's part of you
After loving you
The girl of my best friend
Always on my mind
Blue Christmas

My favourite, first one I looked for.

Jane43 Fri 06-Dec-24 15:32:59

I like his early records, Don’t Be Cruel and Blue Moon are particular favourites but my first choice is Amazing Grace which was played at the funeral of my dear friend Jean four years ago, we met at the age if 10, she was there when I met my husband and she was my bridesmaid. Whenever I hear Elvis I think of her, she was a huge fan.

Georgesgran Fri 06-Dec-24 16:45:17

Any or all of the above, but Always on my Mind, is my favourite.

LadyGracie Fri 06-Dec-24 19:20:57

Are you lonesome tonight. Beautiful song.
I adored Elvis and collected man of his LP's, when I went abroad my sister either sold them or gave them away.
