Am on my own tonight …I don’t really mind but maybe a little bit
What is your viewing plan if you’re staying in … need some ideas…
In the past I’ve watched JULES HOLLAND ..

We'll be watching Jules too. I can't be bothered to go out on NYE.

I like his Hootenanny, and will happily see the New Year in with that, then go to bed.

See you there, Bea65 grin

Think we will try Jane McDonald’ and friends. Seems relaxed and something we’d enjoy.

Grandmabatty Tue 31-Dec-24 16:27:21

I'll be watching The Godfather, part 2. I dislike Hogmanay programmes.

I will probably watch a film and go to bed at my normal time. I found it made me sad seeing the new year in alone so I haven't for a long time now.

Think whoever organises TV schedules must imagine that we'll all be out having an amazing time. Looking very glam, drinking cocktails and dancing the night away. In reality DH and I will be nibbling our way through left over Christmas stuff / chocs and the odd glass of wine whilst watching programmes that we've recorded from Christmas or even before. We're watching The Guns of Navarone at the moment with a side order of M&S fancy nuts. We will watch Jools though. Happy New Year!!

Not keen on Jules or hogmanny progs too. Though I can still sing the whole of Donal where’s yer trousers if I have to.

There isn’t anything I have marked up from my tv times to watch tonight so will try catch up or just carry on eating Ferrero Roche chocs. My favourites. . Have already eaten 4. 12 to go. I tell myself it’s not a race, but it’s amazing how quickly they disappear. 🫠
Happy new year to you all.

I have just noticed my user name has suddenly lost a few letters. I am silverlining not silverling.
Am having trouble with accessing GN, so wonder what, if anything, is occurring. .

Jool’s Hootenanny from 11:30.
Film Red One before, we have the grandchildren here, they’ll be up too, Pizzas, Ice Cream, nibbles and drinks.

I will watch Graham Norton then Jools Holland.

Ziggy62 Tue 31-Dec-24 17:35:05

We've always watched Jools Holland but not so keen on the line up tonight, sadly
I'll try to stay awake but doubt it

Christmas and New Year TV has been dire as far as we are concerned . The only things we have enjoyed are the Chrismas University Challenges and last night we watched the opera " The Merry Widow " from Glynebourne . I look forward to the programme about Rikki Fulton and Vera .

MissAdventure Tue 31-Dec-24 22:00:16

I quite like Graham Norton.
I might watch him.

MayBee70 Tue 31-Dec-24 22:08:12

I started watching Middlemarch on BBC catchup last night. Can’t remember much about it first time round apart from Rufus Sewell ( sigh) so I’m really enjoying it. I might watch Sophie Ellis Bextor at 11.30 though. I love Sophie!

Ziggy62 Tue 31-Dec-24 22:15:24

Just watched a very old episode of Midsomer Murder.
Now I'm off to bed
First time in haven't sat up to see the new year in ever
Happy New Year all xxx

Allira Tue 31-Dec-24 22:16:07

For the first time since I can't remember on a New Year's Eve I think I'll be going to bed soon.

We watched Goodbye, Mr Chips then the first 3 episodes of Archie.
Got square eyes now.

Fireworks have going off for past few hours… people must spend a fortune… don’t like them at all …

MissAdventure Tue 31-Dec-24 23:32:20

Ah, I'm watching Dawn French.
I can't say I'm keen on her really, but at least it makes me do a few chores around the flat.

It was her or Jane Macdonald.

Bea65 Tue 31-Dec-24 23:39:23

Dawn FRENCH ..Jane McDONALD no…

MissAdventure Tue 31-Dec-24 23:41:09

I find Dawn French a real show off.
She's got worse as she's got older.

Fireworks soon anyway, I think.

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 31-Dec-24 23:42:20

We’ve just finished watching Bad Sisters, it’s very good.

I well remember every New Year with my parents watching Andy Stewarts White Heather Club. Not my favourite programs.

silverlining I noticed that also and thought it must be me, but then I thought that I "knew" you on another thread, and there you are silverlining.
