Anyone watching this ?
I really enjoy this programme and I m looking forward to this new series
Did it come up to your expectations last night, a little twist at the beginning getting some folk off the train but will they be back??
Have they chosen the right traitors ? I am just trying to get the various names in my head I saw Linda’s reaction on Claudia’s word ‘Traitors’ and thought, ‘ah ha’ but didn’t realise it had been seen by any of the others (but it had)

RosieMaw2.. Sorry typo.. . Straight forward views...

I fast forward through the endless discussions and dissections of people trying to decide who's a traitor. They're awful at it and all so completely sure they're right! It puts me right off the Faithfuls.

Fozia is great, she has a place in the Media for strength forward views.
Linda, I'm surprised lasted that long, not sure if it's the edited that way, but it was obvious.
Love it!

What does this mean?

Farzanah Thu 16-Jan-25 12:01:37

I couldn’t see anything wrong with Fozia, she’s hardly been around long. The three late joiners were bound to be outsiders because they missed the early bonding. I don’t watch the after show programme to see the real persona, but Linda seemed dislikeable from the start and am amazed she lasted so long.
Minah’s playing a cracking game, she blends in so well and had no hesitation in discarding Linda.

I am glad to see the back of both Fozia and Linda and I am struggling to picture Leeanne in her army officer's uniform because she is playing the "bimbo" role so well. I agree that she would have been a better traitor recruit than Charlotte with the silly fake accent.

NotSpaghetti Thu 16-Jan-25 10:25:05

I like him too Doodledog.
The format favours "being a sheep" on the whole.

Anyone different or who doesn't (mainly) conform can easily be targeted.
I think Alexander is also suffering because he wasn't there at the start.

Maybe the 3 who got off the train are all outliers anyway and are therefore ultimately destined to fail?

Doodledog Thu 16-Jan-25 10:19:26

The Barbie Girl would make a good traitor, better than Charlotte.
I agree. I think they see her as a 'bimbo' as she is young, pretty and blonde, plus they think she works as a nail technician. It's stereotyping in action, but it's helped her to stay out of the firing line.

To do well in a game like this you have to fit in with the group.
More intelligent, posh, awkward and so on will be voted off.
Minah stays under the radar very well.
Isn’t it strange how some of them are never suspected? The Barbie Girl would make a good traitor, better than Charlotte.

Doodledog Thu 16-Jan-25 09:45:42

I quite like Alexander, but can see he’s someone for whom people might have to ‘make allowances’ grin. His appeal might depend on context a bit.

I wasn’t a fan of Fozia either, although this programme lends itself to snap judgements rather than balance, I suppose.

NotSpaghetti Thu 16-Jan-25 09:41:40

Unfortunately I have disliked Linda throughout and although more "smiley" on Uncloaked I didn't change my view.
It's a pity Fozia was out so quickly. I think she was an asset to the show.

I feel sorry for Alexander now though. His quite formal (?) language isn't doing him any favours and everyone is suspicious of him now.
The way he tried to explain the principal of the card game rather than the blow by blow has got him in hot water too now.
I think I could easily have said what he said and scuppered myself.

I didn’t think Fozia was lovely at all! I think she’d have happily thrown Linda under a bus if the positions had been reversed.
And as for Linda looking really good for an older lady - FFS she’s only 70!
I’d have been less than flattered and I can give her 6 years.
I thought her style very ageing and a bit naff .

So Linda’s gone
Watching BBC 2 afterwards Fozia was absolutely lovely and incredibly dry and funny Linda came across much nicer too and I think she looked really good for an older lady and her hair looked lovely

Linda was much nicer when not traitoring, I agree. I liked her in Uncloaked. It was the ham acting that I found irritating, but who knows what any of us would be like in the circumstances.

keepingquiet Thu 16-Jan-25 08:59:00

I think the new traitor, Charlotte? Will be good and Minah now needs to watch her back.

That card game in the “graveyard “ - creepy!

Fernbergien Sat 11-Jan-25 20:29:59

I missed that. Sorry. I do enjoy the show.

Doodledog Sat 11-Jan-25 19:54:11

Yes, the sisters have both gone. Minah is no relation. As far as we know grin.

NotSpaghetti Sat 11-Jan-25 19:05:08

Wasn't Maia the sister of Armani?

Fernbergien Sat 11-Jan-25 18:42:07

I might be odd thinking this way but I am surprised Minah has not been voted off. Her and her sister are close in age and sisters can be close in a lot of ways. I would have voted. Minah off as a precaution.

I think Welsh is though of as friendly but not bright?

I suppose "trustworthy" is maybe aligned to "friendly" - and if you aren't too bright you may not be conniving!

Farzanah Sat 11-Jan-25 11:01:05

shysal evidence apparently shows that people are more inclined to trust certain accents, one of them being Welsh, also Yorkshire and Scottish I think. Some are more untrustworthy but not mentioning those……..

Tenko Fri 10-Jan-25 17:18:17

I thought that too shysal . I was sorry to see Kas banished . I think Minah is playing a good game and I think Linda won’t last long .
I’m a Claudia fan , I love her clothes on Traitors and even looked for a cape on eBay this week .
I remember when her daughter was badly burnt by a candle in a pumpkin on Halloween, I think they were treat or treating and the pumpkin was on a doorstep . Claudia took a long time off work and campaigned for safer materials to be used in fancy dress clothes.

shysal Fri 10-Jan-25 17:04:18

I also wonder why the girl who is pretending to be Welsh thinks it will give her an advantage.hmm

Doodledog Fri 10-Jan-25 16:35:30

Farzanah

I wonder why Lisa even applied for the game because if she couldn’t lie she would have found it tricky being a traitor.

I know - I'm puzzled too. Are priests obliged to tell the truth at all costs? She might be lying when she says that, I suppose. There must be some circumstances under which they can be 'economical with the truth'. They'd be rubbish at poker, otherwise wink
