Anyone watching this ?
I really enjoy this programme and I m looking forward to this new series
Did it come up to your expectations last night, a little twist at the beginning getting some folk off the train but will they be back??
Have they chosen the right traitors ? I am just trying to get the various names in my head I saw Linda’s reaction on Claudia’s word ‘Traitors’ and thought, ‘ah ha’ but didn’t realise it had been seen by any of the others (but it had)

Delighted that Armani has gone, and hopefully the next one will be Linda. I really like Kaz and hope he’s not voted off. A bit weary of the squealing, tears and shallow hugs and ‘love yous’! 🥱

Yeah, am forced to agree with you 😁

It’s not only a good ‘watch’ but fascinating from a psychological viewpoint and makes you wonder how you would play this game. Why would the first three contestants sacrifice themselves from the train? Did they have any prior knowledge that they would be back in the game later on? If not why on earth would anyone choose to leave at that point?
Why did the contestants on the lake sacrifice themselves while others sat tight?

Parsley3 Sat 04-Jan-25 13:43:25

The prize money has to be tempting or why bother. I find it a fascinating insight into how people form their opinions and act on what they believe to be true. One person identifies a traitor and gives reasons. The others quickly jump on the bandwagon and with no critical thinking at all vote someone off. It is really quite random whether or not the evicted one actually is a traitor. Watching this programme is making me have second thoughts about how I form my own judgements on a whole range of issues.

I feel like a grumpy old lady. I am reluctant to watch a program that sensationalises liars. I know it is just a bit of fun and it is not real (accept to those contestants who get caught up in the game). But it just rings alarm bells as to which direction society is moving.

It is interesting watching the contestants strategies. I certainly couldn’t understand why those on the rafts didn’t figure out that they would be doomed!

Gogo84 Sat 04-Jan-25 13:20:11

Love it! Yes the 3 leavers from the beginning are definitely on the way back I think. The masked passengers in the carriage. So hard on the people who "sacrificed" themselves on the rafts as one of them will be murdered. I think that the participants are going to have a discussion as to what their strategy will be in the future as I'm sure more volunteers will be needed to become the "sacrificial lambs"

BlueBelle Sat 04-Jan-25 13:16:02

I m another who can’t wait for Linda to go I think the other traitor Minah is quite astute
Armani was destined to go …far too loud, forceful and talkative I felt for her sister last night she was between the devil and the dark blue sea
It’s very very addictive isn’t it ?

The prize money has to be large enough for competitors to climb over each other to get it.
It's not that high either compared to various TV shows

Frogs Sat 04-Jan-25 12:19:15

It’s compulsive viewing but am I the only one who thinks the prize money is far too high. The programme is all about screwing over the other contestants to get to the prize money at the end.
At the beginning of this series some of the contestants were asked how they’d like to spend it if they won this ‘life changing’ amount - one person said they’d use it to fund IVF treatment 😳.
If I remember rightly in series two there was just one winner who took the lot by gaining the trust of all the other contestants. I know it’s only a game but it all seemed a bit sad to me when the prize is so large - but like every one else I can’t still watching, it’s like watching a car crash.

I hope Linda goes soon. Another unbearable!
I confess I had already judged her on the train 🤐

I’m so pleased that Yin has been murdered. I would be forced to murder her myself if that hadn’t occurred in the first episode.

Me too.
And she didn't seem to be very intelligent to me...

Thank goodness that Armani was voted out!
This series has me hooked already. I see the 'rail replacement' carriage is on the way. Might all three of the displaced people be instant traitors? Another twist.

Yes, they seem to be bringing back all, but maybe just one of the ejected 3.
I wonder if they will be Faithful or Traitors.
I normally don’t like “reality “ programmes, but this is like a real life game of Cluedo. I’m hooked!

Doodledog Sat 04-Jan-25 10:18:21

Agreed, Parsley. I like Kaz, and was sick of Armarni, so am glad she’s gone. Linda seems to like Kaz too, so maybe he’ll be recruited next?

Parsley3 Sat 04-Jan-25 10:11:44

I am watching Armani on Uncloaked just now and I am glad that she has gone as she can't shut up. Poor Kaz doesn't deserve to be gunned for like that and if I was him I would be glad to be voted off. I have no idea who they will murder next but I would be furious if I had put myself in that position by getting off that boat. Another twist coming up too. I love it.

They stay at the Marriott Airport hotel in Inverness. The next series is filmed in March and they've booked the entire hotel. It's less than an hour away from Ardross Castle.
Thanks. I thought I'd replied to this this morning, but obviously not. It's odd that they are all in the same place, as they stand a chance of seeing one another. Presumably they all go back there and the traitors are collected later to have their castle meeting before going back again - or it is filmed during the day 💡? The 'breakfast in the castle' scenario is presumably fake too? I've wondered about that, as the last ones to go in are always the ones the traitors have been discussing for possible murder, and the faithfuls will have seen the show before and know this, so will know they must be fellow faithfuls.

Lyndylou Fri 03-Jan-25 17:29:02

Claudia said that once they get to the final, evictees will not reveal if they were faithful or traitor but up until then, they will have to reveal themselves as usual.

Love Claudia, I have a theory that she has deliberately selected 2 traitors that are likely to give themselves away (Linda and Armani) so that the faithfuls get some early wins, but we will see.

shysal Fri 03-Jan-25 17:12:00

Opal

And like someone said upthread, I also thought the evictees were not going to reveal whether they were a faithful or a traitor - I'm sure Claudia mentioned it at the start. Must have got it wrong, but does anyone else know what she was referring to?

In every version of the show I have seen, the evictees have revealed whether traitor or faithful as they left.

kittylester Fri 03-Jan-25 10:22:29

I think she said that they wouldn't do the reveal in the final.

Great programme, really enjoy it, just wish some of the cast were a bit more "genuine" - telling each other "I love you" when they've only just met! So false, some of them should be up for Oscars!

Aveline Fri 03-Jan-25 07:46:53

There must be so much editing. How can the traitors come back to the castle after everyone has gone without their being noticed ? Also the person 'murdered' is always in the same room. Doesn't matter really I suppose. The suspense of it all is what matters.
The tasks are usually very good. Better than those on 'I'm a celebrity '.

I love this show.

I agree that Linda's claims to be cool, fun and quirky are annoying - self-diagnosed 'coolness' always is. Armani will be out soon too, I think, and I would have murdered Yin, too.

I also think the people who left the train will be back. The spy in particular would be a miss to the show, and the young man with the strange hairdo and clothes looked interesting in an odd sort of way. The woman was rather annoying, going on about how she always sacrifices herself for others, but may grow on us in time. I'd like them to be sneaked in as traitors, but I suppose that's not possible without ruining the format.

Do they all stay in B&Bs or similar? I know they sleep separately, so they can't confer, or accidentally find out who is sneaking about being treacherous, but the castle seems quite remote, and I can't see there being enough places nearby to put them all up in separate premises.

There is something about reality shows that encourages squealing in the early episodes. I don't remember ever doing it, or any of my friends - it seems to be a recent development.

Hate the silly squealing. Really liked Keith. 🤷🏻‍♀️
