welbeck

I find it quite dark.
I wouldn't want to watch it again.
I find it too disturbing.

It is quite dark, but very well acted, darkly comic and, yes, a tad disturbing. I love it

I so loved that. And now I remember where I’d heard her use that tone before as she’d get cross with Mick in Gavin and Stacey. 🤔

I like Demis Roussos, Ange likes Demis Roussos, Tone likes Demis Roussos and Sue would like to hear Demis Roussos. So Laurence, could we have some Demis Roussos on please? 😂

Is certainly an iconic piece of television history. I watched it when it first aired and thought it was the most hilarious thing I had ever seen, I think there has been a remake but the 1977 version is by far the best.

Back in the '70s, if we invited people round, or were invited to friends' houses, the ladies always used to get dressed up to the nines - long dresses etc like Beverley. Happy days.

Have it on DVD & watch it every so often.
Still makes me smile.

It was so well observed wasn't it?

And, scarily, we knew people like them!

I have long wanted to see this again, so was delighted to see it on You Tube to buy for £2.99.
Every bit as good as I remembered, with Alison Steadman as a superb Beverly, and Janine Duvitski as an excellent Ange.
