Thoroughly enjoying it, unusually can only cope with one episode at a time but really do look forward to the next.
I thought it was just four but delighted to discover it is six.

I'm with you Hellogirl1 I am enjoying the series although it's violent there is enough content to keep me interested.

I thought it was unremittingly awful, and one episode was more than enough.
I had read that it was written (books) by someone from Bradford Yorkshire and series for tv based on books are usually good. Not this one.
Where do I start? Obvs Bradford is well known to have a very large Indian/ Pakistani heritage community but this looked more like it was set in Mumbai as I didn’t see white Yorkshire people in it at all. There were a few criminal Eastern Europeans either as rival gang members or lackeys of criminal Asian gangs.
One Eastern European gang member, being tortured in the presence of Virdee protests they can’t do this as it’s England, so Virdee says no, this is Bradford! Virdee has a criminal brother in law which he seems comfortable with.
There is no showcasing of a Yorkshire city, it all looks dark, dingy and unappealing (maybe it really is).
There is far too much family stuff, most of it centred around his own horrible Sikh father.
The murder of a young woman is horrific in what was done to her.
I bet the Bradford tourist industry, if there is one, is up in arms about this series, in that you’d run a mile if anyone suggested a trip there now.

I`m still loving it, despite the violence.

It's an incredibly brutal series and not for the faint hearted, with scenes of extreme violence and torture. I am quite enjoying Virdee and the majority Asian cast( the series is set in Bradford) are really good. The characrer Virdee is a Hindu who is married to a Muslim and this creates its own tensions.

I`ve just watched the first episode of this new series on catch up, and it`s brilliant. Can`t wait for the next one.
