I'll go first 😀

I've watched Episode 1 of the Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle show on Netflix (a relaxed half hour over an early lunch) I enjoyed it! It's very beautiful in Montecito where they live, the camera loves her, she's a working wife and mother ... what's not to like?

I'll run for cover now... 😁

Thanks for the pics of the Certificate.

Vegansrock won’t have to look it up now.

Watched a few episodes and I don’t mind it. She dosent come across too bad, Quite fancy making the lemon and honey cake. A few nice craft ideas too.

Edward’s wife was Duchess Of Wessex

No, Countess Of Wessex actually.

Not the same title. Her DH was an Earl, not a Duke.

Different now, of course.

Binge watched every episode last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.
You can see by her skills in the kitchen that she’s very used to cooking etc.
Well done Meghan.

Skills? What skills? It’s just bland, inane television by someone with zero talent. It’s sad that all the great female cooks out there got ignored for her, just because of who she married.

I actually quite enjoyed it…

I watched most of episode 1. It wasn't offensive.

I may finish the episode tomorrow, might watch more at some point.

🤣🤣🤣 not her house and what planet is she living on? Getting herself set up for when she splitsfrom Harry!

Ilovedogs22 Wed 05-Mar-25 19:22:08

I'm still flabbergasted at all the venom being directed at Megan!
Either you know something other's don't know or your just re-hashing the lurid Chinese whispers & tabloid tattle doing the rounds!
Let Harry & his little family be free from all this negativity.
Do you think Princess Di would have found this terrible, mean baiting acceptable??? 🤔

I just looked up out of interest - the show is in the top 10 "most watched" in 47 countries.

Boring having to repeat this but there is no need for tittle tattle. The tittle tattle is available for all to see/hear/read, straight from the horse's mouth.

Oprah interview. Harry's book, Spare.

All their own words.

The show would have had and will have high viewing figures,
some will be interested , some because they are fans, some for
amusement.

Netflix are missing a trick. They should give Doria her own show on fitness and fashion for the over fifties.

She is so stylish and her five second appearance at the end was a scene stealer.

What a nasty comment!!
I thought it was very refreshing to watch a cooking programme that was a bit different from most of the usual stuff.

I haven't got round to looking for it yet, but I liked one reviewer who said it's a show for people who need a recipe to make ice cubes.

Personally I've always enjoyed The Pioneer Woman. I know she's the wife of a rich rancher and she makes a lot of money out of her books and merchandise, but she's fun. I've learnt a lot about American cooking from her and her recipes are far more about feeding a busy family and far less about scattering fresh flowers.

Meghan wouldn’t like that.

Of course. It won't matter to Netflix why people watch it, as long as they do.

I agree with Merlotgran that Doris is cool 😎. I doubt Meghan wouldn't like her mother in the limelight, she seems to be very proud of her. If anything, I doubt Doria would want the attention. smile

Retread Wed 05-Mar-25 20:54:07

Autocorrect wrote Doris in my first sentence above! Doria is a much nicer name smile

Anniebach Wed 05-Mar-25 20:54:08

Megan is living the life she wanted, much of it on TV, she must have hated every day as a royal, boring for her compared to the life she has now

25Avalon Wed 05-Mar-25 22:49:08

She’s got out what she set out to achieve. All very shallow imo. I just wish she had a bit of love to spare for her father.

Highlights were ... the easy Single Skilled pasta dish (I generally love the way younger people embrace all shortcuts - she cooks the pasta in the sauce from the off); the stunning scenery; the small touches that lift an ordinary dish, the relaxed vibe ...

So is this a very thin sauce to begin with? Does she put a lid on the pan (or skillet whatever). We don't have Netflix so can't watch it.

Allira Wed 05-Mar-25 23:26:38

Found it.
The Daily Mail says it looks delicious so it must be ok!
