Who else watched this?

Found it a bit confusing at first, but sussed it by the end.

Not sure about Siobhan’s blonde hair, looked rather brassy.

Surely the little girl wouldn’t have been allowed to stay at her home, especially as she, Siobhan, dashed off in the night. Who was keeping an eye on her then? The old dad who had a stroke?

Why do they all have to be having illicit affairs with colleagues?

Calendargirl Mon 24-Mar-25 06:57:01

The girl still has the tablet.

If it belongs to the the detective’s daughter, won’t she say it’s missing?

I don’t know how you all manage to fix your attention on her hair, her speech, her way of looking, it takes me all my time to follow the plot 🤣I rarely think about who the actors or actresses are as I m involved in the story and the character.

Disappointing. I lost interest on the 3rd episode as it was all way too OTT, unrealistic. Mr J really enjoyed so watched it til the end. Got a bit ridiculous in parts.

Love the hair, great to see an experienced actor getting a top role , all the ones disliking it take a look at her hair as Lynn in Alma’s not normal. I love her inflection and timing , very realistic.

Yes, will watch tonight and decide. Perhaps Siobhan's wig is to make her look younger! Didn't realise she's 60. And her lover is 44.

Nothing wrong with a 60 year old woman having a 44 year old lover and it showing!

She needs to try that magic purple shampoo, turns brass to mouse.

wibblywobblywobblebottom Tue 18-Mar-25 16:56:08

Oh it's a TV programme. Nope.

Calendargirl Tue 18-Mar-25 16:26:19

No one’s ‘obsessing’ about her hair Maggie, we just commented on it!

4allweknow Tue 18-Mar-25 16:13:58

Think I'm watching it for the actors ability as the scenario is totally unbelievable.

Maggieanne Tue 18-Mar-25 15:17:15

We started to watch it but found it a bit boring, but why are people obsessing about her hair!

Astitchintime

Every time I see Siobhan in any program ....... I can still remember her in Rita, Sue and Bob too grin

She always comes across the same in whatever role she plays.

Can’t really explain it, she seems to stare and hesitate before saying something, with a ‘blank’ look about her.

She did it in Downton, Happy Valley, and still doing it in this.

Makes her look a bit ‘vacant’ somehow.

Or perhaps it’s me!

I've been watching it and I feel the affair is a defining part of the plot if I have got it sussed right. I wasn't sure about the whole thing at the start but have persevered and can't wait to see if I am right.

Illicit affairs happen in every work place believe me. The Protection series is full of "artistic licence" just as all other series.

rafichagran Mon 17-Mar-25 23:59:53

I enjoyed it, but it had alot if dramatic licence.

Can’t say I m enjoying it that much ! It’s ok ish
Can anyone tell me what it said on the girls iPad I can’t read things like that ?

As the child is not supposed to have a phone as her location could be tracked, how come she managed to have the larger tablet?

No, that is not what would be called a safe house and Siobhan's car is quite distinctive too.

The tablet is Siobhan's daughters, Amy, the twelve year old, is staying in her room.

Thanks Allira

Well, I think that's right but please don't use that in evidence at some later date in court 😁

Thanks Allira

She was chatting to a friend online, who we are led to believe is the criminal's son.

I watched 1st part last night and will watch the second part tonight. Taking the child home with her would not happen.
I enjoyed the 1st episode.

So much was filmed in the dark I had problems watching. I did wonder how she could run out of the house leaving father and child alone.

I agree, the hair looked very brassy.

The jury is out but I will watch tonight's episode.

Allsorts Mon 17-Mar-25 07:44:49

I watched it but feel I have seen this before. Bits were unbelievable to me. You can see the top baddies could they be more obvious, treating aDI with no respect and barking out threats, the phone will come to light soon. I will stick with it for now,
