OK, so you will probably hate me for this, but I think these two marathons are scams. Most of the money for these programmes go abroad and who knows how the money is spent. I will not donate to these, so much money goes in production costs and I totally disagree with money going out the country. I donate to charities in the UK but I distrust these two with their celebrities and high costs.

I'm not keen on these events either, both could do with a revamp I believe.

To Rula - I agree that they are not scams but can't watch them because of the "celebrities" involved. I am sick to the back teeth of seeing Alison Hammond on almost everything on TV - what exactly is her "talent"? Rylan is another no talent nothing & as for the multitude of "comedians" who are about as funny as toothache - no thanks.

I have never been a fan of organised charity giving. The only exception I would make was Live Aid in 1985.

I started to watch comic relief, but the presenters were just awful. I think someone at the bbc must have been tasked with signing up the most annoying presenters. I can’t stand Davina Mccoll, Alison Hammond, Jonathan Ross, Joel Or Alisha Dixon. I do donate but usually through my DGD’s school.

I don't watch them but do donate because the projects they support are worthwhile.
