My first thought when Dev appeared was 'I hope Aveline is watching'

I find him irritating, but I know he has a place in your heart, Aveline, so can close my ears when he starts his daft speech patterns.

Yes - I might need a few quick ones in order to see Dev, but for different reasons to yours, Aveline. I do find your defence of, and love for, Mr Alahan extremely touching, and loyal. He's got a friend!

I'm over at the Red Rec now plucking up courage to visit him at the shop. Might have to pop in to the Flying Horse for a few quick ones first though.

I must confess that my first reaction was 'Oh no!' when Dev burst through the door. Why on earth does he deliver his lines in that ridiculous way? I watch old Corrie episodes while ironing - Charlie Stubbs has just had his skull dented by the ever lovely Tracey - and Dev doesn't seem quite so wildly lyrical, but thank goodness you love him, Aveline - all is not lost.

Dev has been the same since I fell in love with him decades ago. That high pitched voice, that odd intonation the terrible taste in shirts - adorable!

Dev has a lot of catching up to do. So much has happened during his absence. The most immediate will be the fake robbery. Then there’s the accidental spiking of Lauren’s drink which landed her in hospital .

Bernie is aware of both and has covered for Aadi. Dev will be furious when it inevitably comes out.

Bernie and Aadi may have to relocate to Gemma and Chesney’s elastic house.

And why would Aadi over order so much stock?

He’s worked in the shop for a long time, plus Dev would have records of the quantities he sold, surely?

Plus most people pay by card nowadays, £6000 cash in the safe?..

How long was it meant to be that he didn’t get to the bank? Probably since Dev went away?

The insurance company will have lots of questions….

Dev is hugely annoying and his acting is awful my heart sank when he walked back in sorry Avaline I thought he’d gone for good I think this storyline is so unreal Aadi just wouldn’t do that he’s the good chap I think I nodded off I can’t remember much else

Can’t stand Dev either Charleygirl5. As you said, it’s partly that awful voice (does he REALLY speak like that? Surely not!) but also the fact that he certainly can’t act. He is really annoying now and I don’t remember him being like that a few years ago.
I’m sure most of us wouldn’t miss him if he got written out.

Aveline did I blink? I cannot stand the man and his false voice.

Lisa really gets on me, moping about, always in tears.

Kit and Sarah look very taken with each other, good acting (if it is only acting?

Poor Aadi has dug a hole for himself. Dev has been away for ages. Does he even know Brodie, his fiancée’s grandson?

Kit was spot on with his observations about Bernie, whose progression from hopeless, thieving, absent mother to sainthood has evolved over time.

Thought Lauren’s bright red lipstick looked awful.

What did she end up cooking for Aadi? I imagine they just opened a packet of something from the shop.

I also thought Mick was trying to get Brodie to move on, but it did sound cruel. Interesting to see if Brodie becomes a nice boy! Hope so.

Was that a new Lily last night? I remember her as quite a chubby girl who played football.

Yes I think Mick is turning Brodie against him on purpose but not good for poor Brodie

I don’t agree at all about DeeDee I think she’s good although she’s not had a good part since having the baby but I think she’s as good an actress as the rest of them they can’t help what they are given to do a very pretty lady She’s always had this religious thing going on in the background I m guessing she will end up with her baby and James will probably end up with Todd

Everyone seems to dislike Deedee! I wonder why? It might be the right time for her to go now as she is adding nothing to the drama. I don’t know whether it’s her poor acting, or her lack of personality, but something just doesn’t gel.

I agree LovesBach. They should have found a replacement actress instead of allowing Aggie to just vanish. In the meantime I wish Deedee would track her down and stay with her!

That was a tough episode for Brodie on the receiving end of nastiness from both Mick and Kit. Was Mick’s cruel rejection reverse psychology as he wants Brodie to stay away and not visit him in prison?

I can’t find any redeeming qualities in Kit. He’s cold hearted and cruel. Sarah is smitten but then she has always been partial to a bad boy.

Aggie, who has disappeared completely, really does need to reappear, albeit with another head. It is acceptable that she has decided enough is enough with Ed and his gambling, but to completely desert her three children, and her two granddaughters, is odd.

Gary has recovered rather quickly but the communal Cprrie bed was needed.

Really !!!

Gary has got a lot better looking since he arrived, I think.
