Todd’s new squeeze used to be on the Archers. Todd is one of the few characters I like at the moment.

No. Tonight she was told that it may get better or it may not. How on earth is that a spoiler? I know no more than has been broadcast!

Only in that some people might not have watched that episode yet, so wouldn’t know, that’s all.

A spoiler is something that people have found out but has not been broadcast. If we couldn't talk about anything that has gone out in case someone hasn't seen it there would be no need for a thread at all, would there?

True! You have a point. I was just concerned for people who hadn’t caught up. I think I had better be quiet, (and I’m truly not being sarky or petulant).
Anyway, I hope Corrie can get some of its spark back. It’s pretty drab at the moment.
I am glad Daisy is leaving. She really is a pain and she eally got up my nose tonight.

I give up. I just want to watch things happen as they do in the script. Is that unreasonable?

No, it’s not Doodledog, but the trouble is, so much is ‘out there’ regarding future soap happenings that it really is hard not to know ages in advance who is leaving, how they are being written out, when it will happen, and it’s easy to forget that some don’t know and don’t want to know beforehand.

I’m sure the future plots of the soaps didn’t used to be publicised so far ahead, but that seems to be life nowadays, people don’t want to wait.

‘Anticipation is better than realisation’.

I admit I always like to know in advance what’s going to happen, but I won’t tell what I know on here, honest! I appreciate that some people hate spoilers.

But I agree that once something’s been broadcast at the usual time, it’s fair game. It’d be up to us to avoid discussions about the episode if we hadn’t seen it and didn’t want to know the plot.

With that in mind, I reckon Betsy will be absolutely fine. Everyone will have forgotten about her nerve damage in a couple of weeks, just as they did Jack’s missing foot and Nick’s “permanent” brain damage.

I’m not sure the new scaffolder would be allowed to wear just a vest in a restaurant.

vegansrock I thought the same, but my standards are higher than Corrie's.

I wish I had the strength of character to not watch it but I still do.
I watch and grumble and groan at the utter garbage, but I’ve been invested since the days of Minnie Caldwell and Ena Sharples like a lot here and can’t seem to let go.

My sister said that if you had told her 5 years ago she would no longer bother to watch Emmerdale and Corrie she would not have believed it.

But she has given up on both of them.

Don't understand why there were no police in the ginnel, who would have stopped Betsy from getting into the back yard.
