Thought I’d start a new thread as the other one is full. Nothing to say really at the moment because I said it at the end of the last thread. Hopefully we can carry on with our Corrie moans!

I felt there was more to it. That something awful had happened off screen. It just seemed odd otherwise that the episode ended there.

They must have blown the whole annual “extras” budget with tonight’s episode!

As far as I could make out, they, along with Lauren, had taken drugs, and this was their reaction.

nanaK54 Mon 23-Jun-25 21:40:29

I am confused (it doesn't take much) what were Nina and Summer screaming and crying about?
Poor Lauren hope she is going to be okay...

Yes, LovesBach, 'soapland' is very incestuous. Fall out of one relationship straight into another, surprisingly in the same street. . The children of soapland need to look outside the box for a partner. They could start with Daniel and Dee Dee both finding new, uncomplicated partners in their respective professions, but still staying good friends. Perhaps we need a 'family tree' chart to keep abreast of who is related to whom.

I love Aadi, he is such an underused talented actor. After that brilliant scene a couple of years ago when him and Dev were discussing luxury crisps we always call better crisps "luxury crisps"

Retroladywriting Sat 21-Jun-25 21:25:56

I thought the scene with Aaadi, Summer and Amy were brilliant on Friday, so much so that it shone out among all the other dross.

My teenage grandson goes to his acting class every Saturday and the youngsters who put their end of term shows on could all knock spots off Millie. Heaven knows where they found her.

LovesBach Sat 21-Jun-25 19:14:31

If you think back about some of the marriages and pairings in Coronation Street, it becomes quite complex. Carla has been married several times, and to Peter and Nick, Leanne has been married to Peter and Nick, Toyah was with Peter and is now with Nick - best stop here as my head will be spinning.

Crossstitchfan Sat 21-Jun-25 15:33:47

Plain Millie and pointless Theo need to go! They just seem like spare parts in Corrie and neither of them can act. Millie, in particular, is dreadful. Who on earth hired such poor actors? I know Corrie is short of money, but are they really that desperate?

Devorgilla Sat 21-Jun-25 11:10:53

I'm not a fan of Carl either, nor Abi in this role. I wonder if we are building up to an assisted dying scenario for Kevin. Then we will have the aftermath wringing of hands and accusations as to how 'assisted' it actually was.
Theo and Millie are a total pain. Todd needs to be found in a state by James in the memorial garden and the rest, as they say, will be history, with rapid exit of Millie and Theo. Failing that, can we please have Mary back fussing like crazy over Millie until Millie makes a dash home for freedom? Not a fan of Mary, but she can have her uses.
Please, not Daniel and Dee Dee.

It will happen, sooner rather than later. Perhaps it was the way I was brought up, but it seems that nobody has any morals anymore. Yes, I forgot I am in soapland.

Calendargirl Sat 21-Jun-25 10:03:27

Plus Abi making cow’s eyes at him (Carl) all the time, behind Kevin’s back.

Poor old Kev.

Charleygirl5 Sat 21-Jun-25 07:59:01

Unfortunately, I think that Todd is too much in love with that wooden-faced Theo that he puts up with that ghastly Millie and her rudeness in his own home.

I doubt that Millie is pregnant - there's no sign of early morning sickness.

Money is apparently extra tight so I would imagine that is why the writing is so poor. We need some humour.

I have added Carl to my long list of dislikes and hope he takes a one-way ticket, but I doubt it will happen. He intends to have his wicked way, poor Kevin.

Calendargirl Sat 21-Jun-25 06:24:25

Let’s hope the exits include Todd and Millie.

So, looking at pictures of fake baby bumps?

Has either of her caring parents actually taken her to a GP for a definitive pregnancy test?

No, thought not.

I just knew that she would turn Todd’s suggestion into an accusation to get rid of her. If only.

Please Todd, pleeese… just man up and evict both of them from the house and your life, leaving Theo to ping his elastic bands ad finitum!

I’m glad Debbie is out so to speak I think Ronnie will understand now and hopefully try to get close again but I very much feel she will reject his help as she won’t want any pity
Poor Ronnie
I like Daniel and it would be nice to see him with DeeDee but I think that’s very unrealistic but who knows it’s a soap so anything can happen
There are some more exits soon but I m saying nowt 🤐

Lovetopaint037 Sat 21-Jun-25 00:25:02

At last the family know that Debbie has dementia. Come on Ronnie and sort the situation out.

Bukkie Fri 20-Jun-25 08:59:21

Dottydots - Like you I have watched Corrie for so long that I can't imagine giving it up but it saddens me how poor and unrealistic it has become. Any good characters like Paul, Julie and Debbie are culled and we are left with dross like Gemma. George, Brian, Bernie, Sally and Tim, Aadi all need more airtime. I love Todd and want him to get together with James. I actually liked the drag night episode, it was entertaining and nice to see the Rovers full. Looks like we are heading for a Daniel and Dee Dee relationship. For a patronising, sanctimonious man he can't half pull the pretty woman.

Calendargirl Fri 20-Jun-25 07:08:00

Glenda often seems to be running the bar single handed. With Sean serving the occasional pint.

Why on earth did they used to need Jenny, Daisy, Ryan, Sean, Gemma, Glenda….?

vegansrock Thu 19-Jun-25 19:45:04

I now record Corrie so I can zip through the ads and the boring bits, didn’t watch much of that episode. Alfie was up late if the drag night was on, though it was still daylight.

Charleygirl5 Thu 19-Jun-25 18:27:53

I do not know who is leaving but Mick, Lou, Brodie, Theo, and Millie are top of my list. I would also add Glenda. Monday would not be too soon but that is wishful thinking.

If the scriptwriters would like help, there is plenty available on GN.

Clawdy Thu 19-Jun-25 18:08:47

So it was Drag Night, but broad daylight outside!? They never seem to film dark evening scenes. If there's a special first date or a celebration, it's always lunchtime!

Maggiemaybe Thu 19-Jun-25 11:58:51

I didn’t actually dislike the drag night - at least there was a bit of humour there for a change. But I’m so very tired of Theo and Millie stomping out, slinking back, storming out again. The pair of them so entitled and miserable…

Dottydots Thu 19-Jun-25 11:44:46

I shall never stop watching Corrie, as it's part of my life now. Wow! How sad does that make me sound? It certainly needs a shake up, though.

LovesBach Thu 19-Jun-25 10:13:14

This is so sad; looking for something to amuse while ironing, I watched a few episodes of 'Classic Coronation Street'. What a difference. Rita and Norris bickering in the Kabin, with Emily pouring oil, Bev and Audrey at loggerheads about poor dead Fred, Danny trying to win back Frankie, Tracey making excuses for the horrible Charlie. It was quite refreshing to watch, and the ironing was hardly noticed.

Lovetopaint037 Thu 19-Jun-25 09:46:29

Last night was the pits. Not only ridiculous but boring. The tedious drag night went on and on. I only hope that no young pregnant black woman was upset by DeeDee. Goodness knows how the actors are coping with the drivel they are supposed to spout.
