Corrie was dreadful last night, Theo really gets up my nose. I detest drag acts too, cringeable.
Unless they have a major rethink about storyline and actors I am going to have to ditch this soap.
Help needed with heirloom repair.
Thought I’d start a new thread as the other one is full. Nothing to say really at the moment because I said it at the end of the last thread. Hopefully we can carry on with our Corrie moans!

Surely it’s time for the Theo actor to make his way back to Ambridge. That village is missing its noble bobby, and it doesn’t look as though the Corrie writers can find much of a storyline for him.
So true! He is quite pathetic on Corrie. Mind you, I don’t think he could act his way out of a paper bag and should perhaps stick to radio.
Slip, not ship!

Well sorry folks but I didn’t enjoy tonight’s very much at all totally fed up with Todd and Theo and dead pan Milly backwards and forwards
I didn’t enjoy the drag night or the drag artist and found most of the story pretty devoid of any reality or interest
Even DeeDee who i really usually like is getting on my pip now
I thought it was just me. When the episode ended tonight, I sat there thinking that Corrie is just getting worse and worse. I didn’t think it could ship any further down in my estimation, but tonight proved me wrong.
My worry is that, all the while they have these same writers, Corrie will be past reviving.
If Theo does leave, please could he take that ghastly Brodie with him?
I also did not enjoy last night's offering. After what Theo said to Todd he should have stayed away permanently.
I agree, I do not think the ghastly Millie is pregnant.

How many more times can Theo flounce off and just rock up again, this time with the dreadful Millie in tow again? By the way, I don't believe she is pregnant and that's why she left the hospital without seeing anyone.
The drag night was cringe inducing, but I expected nothing less.
Oh and Kev's catching on to Abi's feelings towards Carl.
Agree about Todd and Theo, plus the nightmare Milly.
At death’s door one minute, then perfectly fine after a bit of drama.
Don’t know how many more times we shall be subjected to Theo flouncing off then returning.
He’s made more comebacks than Sinatra!
Ryan worked in the Bistro when Debbie owned it. They had good interactions. I think they were in some dodgy deal together.
Have to agree with you BlueBelle Theo is truly dreadful and the story line is repetitive and boring.

I think I’ve seen Ryan working in Debbie’s hotel.
Debbie and Ryan ??
You are right about Chris Ramsay and Ryan. I am still cross about what they are doing to Debbie because her and Ryan were a good working partnership.
Does anyone think Chris Ramsey currently presenting on Pointless looks a bit like Ryan from Corrie?
I must have nodded off and missed the junk shop sale; I thought Gary still owned that as well as the builder’s yard (money as ever being no object on the Street). Who’s flogging the old furniture now then?
It’s just the way she is-trouble.
On a fussy note, would she be allowed to sell the van if it’s in Mick’s name, regardless of him being in prison?
How would they sort out the log book, or whatever it is now?
Still this is Corrie of course.

Gary doesn’t have the junk store any more.
He has bought Ed’s builder’s yard and is now in the construction business,
Had 2 hired hands a few weeks ago.
Plus he bought Mick’s old van off Lou.
The junk shop must have done all right really.
(Perhaps it was his firm that did up the Platt house?)
Which begs the question, if Lou has the money for the van, why was she thinking of pinching the salon cash? Or is that just the way she is?

Pretty sure the text was the one Lou sent herself from his phone. She'll use it to anger Maria and stir up trouble. I thought Gary had only just taken over builders' yard but he can just drop all work/responsibilities and head off. Maria needs to kick him out and let Mick deal with him when he comes out of prison. It would be a pity as I think they make a good couple. I had high hopes for Lisa when she first appeared but she needs to behave like a true professional and not the incompetent office girl.
Oh, is Lou leaving in August? That’s another plot revealed.
Gay love doesn’t turn my stomach. I find the Todd/Theo story unbelievable and there is zero chemistry between Carla and Lisa, but all sorts of people make up both the country and the audience, so I like to see a range of groups represented.
Beechnut
I only caught a glimpse of the textband thought it said he needed her and to get in touch ?
That was it, Beechnut. No doubt there’ll be fireworks when Lou shows it to Maria.
If only anyone ever told the truth on the cobbles. Gary could say to Maria for example - “You were right about her, babe, she made a pass at me and tried to blackmail me.” Too simple? Yes, I’ll pack a bag instead and run off to Anna’s, wherever the heck that is these days
. The 2 customers the junk store gets next week will just have to be disappointed.

Well done! My brain didn’t stretch that far. Proves my point, I think, that the writers are trying to cover everything. When you think, it was originally set in just one street, it’s mind boggling to see how it has expanded to include half the area!

Gary is playing with fire and he knows it. Thank goodness for a fast forward button as parts of Corrie bore me rigid. Swain and Carla for example.
I couldn’t agree more! Still, I suppose we can’t all be the same. The Carla/Swain duo are pathetic and we really don’t need to see them kissing! Nor Theo and Todd - turns my stomach, and I’m not normally funny like that. I think the writers add these people so they toe the line re equality:-
Lesbians? Tick
Gay people? Tick
Black/Coloured people? Tick
Bigoted do-gooder (Sally) Tick
Teenage thugs? Tick
Criminals? Tick
Can’t think of anything else at the moment but I am sad it’s going downhill so rapidly. It used to be a brilliant programme that I have watched since 1960. I am still watching but purely out of loyalty now, and in the hope that it will improve. Still, re the scriptwriters, if you pay peanuts, you will get monkeys, and Corrie is trying to cut the costs down.
So sad.
