Thought I’d start a new thread as the other one is full. Nothing to say really at the moment because I said it at the end of the last thread. Hopefully we can carry on with our Corrie moans!

I don’t think we were shown what Lou put on Gary’s phone other than she sent a message to herself to make it look as though he had sent it.
I can’t wait for her to leave, August, I think?
I wonder what drivel the scriptwriters have in store for us next. A dinosaur spotted in Roy’s? Audrey having triplets? Going by the last few storylines, those wouldn’t be outside the bounds of possibility! Ye gods! Please get new writers.!!

I only caught a glimpse of the textband thought it said he needed her and to get in touch ?

No, I think that was the message Gary sent Lou.

What did Lou type on Gary's phone?

LovesBach Tue 17-Jun-25 09:30:08

Gary has now departed (for how long?) to stay with Anna. They can chat about the murders they have commited - did Anna kill Phelan some years ago?
Lou is reverting to type - any shred of sympathy evaporated when she rounded on Gary after her contrived 'kiss' .

Gary is playing with fire and he knows it. Thank goodness for a fast forward button as parts of Corrie bore me rigid. Swain and Carla for example.

Beechnut Tue 17-Jun-25 08:44:05

Has the Police station had a makeover?

Clawdy Tue 17-Jun-25 08:16:25

How convenient that Gary nipped to the toilet and left his phone right next to Lou!

Would house insurance pay out though in the case of arson by a family member?

Would hope not. Probably why Audrey stepped in.

Did David and Shona not have house insurance? Having your house gutted by fire must be an enormously important issue and yet hardly any discussion took place. Rather drastic for Audrey to sell her house to pay for the renovations.

Clawdy Sat 14-Jun-25 18:45:47

I noticed the "bangs" too. And yes, most likely Brodie reported Maria to the police, Lou is very anxious to keep Gary on her side.

Calendargirl Sat 14-Jun-25 18:10:07

I think Audrey selling GD was just dropped casually into the conversation some time ago. Obviously a quick sale and completion took place. It was to pay for the house renovation, but the sting in the tail was having Audrey move in. Oh well….

No, Max, who was at the forefront of family concern a while back has been totally forgotten about, as will poor Craigy in another week or so.

At over 80, Audrey must be past it for ‘lovely blow dry’s’.

If I sound ageist, well, I am. She looks quite frail, bet she couldn’t manipulate the drier and also giving clients a good head wash.

Holding a wine glass is as much as she needs to be doing really.

Lovetopaint037 Sat 14-Jun-25 17:54:15

Last night Glenda thanked Audrey for giving her a lovely blow dry. However, her lovely hair looked terrible, dry and in need of a good brush. The scene changed to the pub but it still looked as if it needed attention. Wild and straw like.

I also haven't seen Ken or Cassie in ages. With luck I blinked and Cassie has left permanently.

FishandChips15 Sat 14-Jun-25 15:53:18

Have not seen Amy for ages. Where is she meant to be?

Kate1949 Sat 14-Jun-25 15:12:18

Glenda said she was thinking of getting 'bangs' in her hair. I must have missed the episode when Coronation Street moved to America.

Devorgilla Sat 14-Jun-25 11:31:17

Sarnia, good point re the bag. I think it was Brodie who shopped Maria, given the conversation he and Lou had. Waiting to see how Gary reacts to news of the arrest. I'm beginning to think Lou and family are staying as a permanent fixture at least for the foreseeable.

Chocolatelovinggran Sat 14-Jun-25 10:57:02

Yes, I have noticed that immaculate nails are the norm for female mechanics, cafe workers, hairdressers and the incredibly hard-up on Coronation Street.
Surely the actors could adapt, just a little, to their role?

I really, really hope Todd and James do hit it off.

Theo is so wooden and just messes Todd about. The storyline is another hopeless one.

No idea when the Platt house got rebuilt. Where did the money come from? Oh, of course, Audrey sold Grasmere Drive didn’t she, and is moving in with them all.

Nightmare all round.

When did Audrey sell Grasmere Drive? I missed that; couldn't understand why she was going to say goodbye to her neighbours, and assumed they were moving! Perhaps she will take over Gail's downstairs room. Max has sunk without trace - he is never mentioned, and Bethany too has evaporated it seems. Plenty of room now, briefly, before new faces appear. Where is Lily? She didn't attend the barbecue.

Sarnia Sat 14-Jun-25 08:48:09

When they were arguing about Lou trying to take the salon cash, nobody picked it up when Lou said she never went near Shona's bag. How did she know it was in there?

Well I was so riveted I fell asleep and woke up as the credits were showing
But I did think Todd and Jane’s had a little flirty moment Devorgilla the other night and

Calendargirl Sat 14-Jun-25 06:43:32

Pretty sure Lou would be fussy about the girls being in clean clothes in the morning (not).

She obviously has time to be doing her lovely red nails though.

If she has no money for food in the house, how was she going to give Brodie a fiver for collecting the girls, and was able to buy a present for the housewarming?

The BBQ looked a bit short on guests.
