Thought I’d start a new thread as the other one is full. Nothing to say really at the moment because I said it at the end of the last thread. Hopefully we can carry on with our Corrie moans!

So before Millie has made it home to her mother Todd has announced her pregnancy in the cafe to Gary and Sarah. Then told George when he arrived home.

That’s if she is actually pregnant. I suspect she’s made it up to get Theo back home. I hope he stays home this time. Poor Todd.

LovesBach Mon 09-Jun-25 22:46:49

Without so much as a mention, any sign of scaffolding or builder's vans, the Platt house is now fully restored and refitted. Perhaps Shona and Lily have done it themselves - they haven't been seen for weeks.

Crossstitchfan Mon 09-Jun-25 22:39:56

The actors in Corrie are now getting worse, and also much more miserable. I hope the dreadful, dislikable Millie isn’t going to be in it long. She is horrendous to watch and can’t act for toffee.
If they keep getting rid of the good actors and replacing them with bad ones, I shan’t be watching any more.
Then there’s the horrendous Betsy with those stupid bits of hair, and now even her mother has got bits hanging down. Why can’t there be some normal people with less irritating hair? Oh, and a bit of acting ability wouldn’t go amiss either. Haven’t seen much of that for a while!
I gather the clueless Brooks woman is still directing? She needs to sort herself out! She’s actually getting PAID for this rubbish!

George and Bernie?- just a thought

Calendargirl Mon 09-Jun-25 20:59:56

How many more times is Theo going to wander off back to his old home and family? Where does Danielle live anyway? Round the corner? He seems able to pop over every touch and turn.

That miserable, elderly looking daughter!

Please do a DNA test Kit!

Charleygirl5 Sat 07-Jun-25 22:17:53

Thanks for the explanation. I must pay more attention.

Devorgilla Sat 07-Jun-25 20:15:09

Oh no! Not George and Mary. He deserves someone really lovely. If Mary must have a partner let it be Brian. Payback for dropping Eileen in it.
I hope the Dee Dee story develops along the line of "I made the right decision". Fed up with storylines that make women feel guilty about their choices. Let her be a 'M-auntie' if you must but let her be the independent women she is who got pregnant accidentally and shouldn't have to carry the guilt.
Please don't let Theo's daughter move in. She'll take over the big bedroom. [M-auntie=mum but pretending to be aunt - my invention. It's a Soap. dafter things have happened.]

Bluebell I cannot stand Mary either never could.I cannot see the point of her little girl voice, it goes right through me.
I remember the daft storyline of her having a son turning up out of the blue. That was another one of Corrie writers idiot plots.
There is not many likeable characters left now.

Calendargirl Sat 07-Jun-25 14:47:29

Apologies BlueBelle, I now see the question was not yours, just spotted your name and went for it!

Hope it answers Charleygirl’s query.

smile

BlueBelle Sat 07-Jun-25 13:14:56

I think it was Charliegirl who asked about James not me Calandargirl

nanaK54 Sat 07-Jun-25 12:45:37

Well who knew that Streetcars had so many cabs?! grin

Calendargirl Sat 07-Jun-25 10:31:42

His partner was having physio after his car accident BlueBelle but the physio ended up more of the ‘physical’ type.

Had been going on for weeks, but poor James only found out the day before, I think.

Luckily, he was able to get packed up and flights sorted for himself and baby Laila seemingly overnight.

Charleygirl5 Sat 07-Jun-25 09:08:38

BlueBelle If I never saw Mary again it would be too soon. I also cannot stand the sight of her. At present, there are very few that I do like.

Did I blink and miss James's explanation?

BlueBelle Sat 07-Jun-25 08:39:47

Oh no not George and Mary I can’t stand that woman she makes my toes curl grannynannywanny

Grannynannywanny Sat 07-Jun-25 07:19:58

I need to start paying more attention. I wondered recently if baby Layla had gone to the U.S with uncle James or if she was still being passed around Weatherfield . My question was answered last night when she landed back from Delaware 🙄

Calendargirl Sat 07-Jun-25 07:02:18

And what happened to James Bailey’s marvellous job in the States?

Suddenly he is homeless, jobless, boyfriendless…..

Well, at least he has his family (poor chap).

And why does Dee Dee have to be doing her confidential solicitor work in Roy’s Rolls?

Calendargirl Sat 07-Jun-25 06:59:18

What a lucky escape George has had.

So Todd is getting the big bedroom?

Alongside wooden Theo, (will he spot the difference between him and the wardrobe?)

So Mary in another (single?) bedroom.

And poor George in yet another? Surely he will move in with Glenda, to his own old home, which must be more spacious and not a doss house for any waifs and strays.

JenniferEccles Fri 06-Jun-25 23:03:13

My theory is Eileen couldn’t stand the thought of spending the rest of her life living with a man who called her Eyelash!
It was probably funny the first hundred times she heard it but wouldn’t it drive anyone mad?!

Yes I too thought Kevin had shrunk in height. I don’t think it’s going to end well for him.

Grannynannywanny Fri 06-Jun-25 22:06:07

I think Kevin’s closer haircut and beard trim has contributed to his frail appearance. Hopefully that’s all it is.

Poor George. I hope he and Mary fall in love once he has a week or so to get over Eileen 😀

BlueBelle Fri 06-Jun-25 21:44:15

Theo’s daughter looks about 25 🤣🤣🤣
I ve wondered about Kevs real life health for a while he has gone so thin and seems to have shrunk
I think I nodded off tonight it really isn’t holding my attention much these days

Aveline Fri 06-Jun-25 21:10:49

Well, bye then Eileen.

Calendargirl Fri 06-Jun-25 21:01:01

Well, there’ll be a job going at the cab office.

Quick, someone tell Lauren!

She’ll be able to have Freddie in his pram in the back, no need to be paying childminder fees….

Hope Theo’s spoilt daughter isn’t a permanent fixture.

No need for any more stroppy teenagers in the Street.

Maggiemaybe Fri 06-Jun-25 15:21:31

I only saw the last few minutes, but according to reports they didn’t win anything else. I think it was Eastenders’ year. I know we complain about Corrie, but I did think the bits that were well done, such as Paul’s illness and Mason’s death, would have warranted something. Good to see Roy and Hayley reunited though!

Beechnut Fri 06-Jun-25 14:54:26

I wasn’t paying enough attention but did anyone apart from Roy get up to receive an award at the Soap Awards on tv last night?

LovesBach Thu 05-Jun-25 10:09:17

Kevin looked so ill in yesterday's episode - I hope it is the make up department doing an amazingly good job.
