I agree with you all, but there are often posts on here about what is shown before the watershed, and Corrie goes out at 8.00, so you can't please everyone.
Personally, I used my own discretion when my children were young, and didn't pay attention to censors who didn't know them. If I thought they'd be upset by something I didn't let them watch it, and if (given that I knew their sensibilities) I felt that they'd be fine, I would leave it on. I didn't use TV as a 'babysitter' though, so I was there to judge whether I felt it was upsetting or not.
