Surely if Lou had done a runner, what with her injuries and with Mick having attacked Craig, the police wouldn’t have let her two daughters go off with a random taxi driver who the girls had never laid eyes on before? Would have thought Social Services would have been drafted in double quick.

The ages of the family are a mystery. Brody must be about 18, the elder daughter 13 or so? and the little one about 5?

Quite spaced out, plus it still doesn’t solve the mystery of who Lou was buying nappies for when she first came onto the Street, mouthing off in Dev’s shop.

The young one must be one of the nappy wearing children at primary school who we read about maybe?

I can't see Lou running off and leaving the two girls behind. I would love Brody to leave with Mick and Lou, but I doubt that will happen. He is a vicious thug.

Kit is definitely not overstretched workwise. A lowly PC/detective appears to be able to organise each day as he wishes, spending a lot of time in Roy's Rolls.

Wednesday's episode was well written and acted, and I hope tonight will be as good.

I thought Tim and Sally would end up fostering the girls too. And maybe Brodie as well! But we don't know where Lou is, do we, unless I missed something?

Kit was put in charge of something over Lisa, even though she’s a DS and he’s a DC, (I think). Was it to do with the Joel business?

Since then, he seems to suit himself over what he does and where.

He’s either in the Rovers, the cafe, or at his flat, wherever that is. Never seems to be doing much proper police work.

But he has a lovely smile and gorgeous eyes.

Kit's a good character though. Lots of secrets to uncover. His attitude to Lisa, why Beth had to go, his past with Mick and Lou plus he's obviously very keen on Sarah. What will happen? Will he end up sacked? Will he commit some sort of crime? So much to find out.

I think Tim and Sally will take Brodie. They wanted to rehabilitate someone as they did with Mason.

How does Kit get away with speaking to Lisa like he does? she outranks him and is his line manager, so it makes no sense. Is it sexism, or does he have a hold over her somehow. He just dismisses her orders and does his own thing. I agree that he should have been with Craig, and that if he hadn't been so horrible to him, the incident wouldn't have happened, as Craig wouldn't have been so keen to impress him.

RIP Craigie.

They didn’t let poor Craig take up the hospital bed for long. It’ll be interesting to see how they handle Beth’s absence.

Tim and Sally appear to have acquired their ready made foster family with Tim arriving home with 2 little girls who don’t know him from adam and Sally nowhere to be seen. . I wonder what will happen to Brody. I suppose Bernie might take him under her wing with Kit watching from the sidelines.

I can imagine they will all be gathering in the Rovers afterwards, and Beth will have already left, too distraught to stay. 🤷‍♀️

Surely Beth, Craig's Mum, will be back on the cobbles. I quite miss her character and Kirk is like a little boy lost without her. I hope she comes back and tells everyone the reason why she left and who was responsible. Kit!

And yes, Kit, it is your fault, actually.

You should have been mentoring Craig, not swanning off and leaving him to prove himself.

No that's just a good script well acted. Seeing it unfold gradually makes for an enjoyable drama.

Mick plays a very convincing baddie. His eyes and demeaner are menacing. I don't think the acting of Mick and Lou is bad, the problem is how unlikeable they are. However it's a shame we are just beginning to see how unlikeable they are and the reasons why they behave like they do.

So long as there's no more violent crime for a while. Villainous characters are one thing - we need an errant husband, a love rat or a petty crook, but in soaps they are better as Les Battersby characters than Kray twin types.

I thought Lou and Mike were good last night. I actually warmed to Mike despite his aggression to Craigie. He really played the part of the betrayed friend exceptionally well. You could see hurt, anger, disappointment and betrayal in his expressions. Kit doesn't come across as a very nice guy at all. Let his friend take the rap and playing around with his girlfriend. I hope Brody isn't going to be the next street villain but I am not holding my breath.

I can't recall a street scene recently that shows the Platt house...is it being renovated/repaired? It was a little farcical as the house exploded, just a handful of charcters were there, and nobody came out of the houses opposite.

Aww Craigie. Maybe his mum will come back for the funeral? If Kirk manages to stay off the pickles they might be reunited? Peanut would be happy. (Watch too much TV?Moi?!)

an odd pairing is 5 foot nothing Sarah (tina o'Brien) and very tall Kit! so unrealistic!

I thought it was a good episode last night with decent acting from Lou and Mick. Young Brandon is an unlikeable character and I was glad to see Betsy didn’t team up with him although she momentarily appeared tempted.

I find it frustrating to watch the nonsensical scenarios given to gormless Craig. He’s the most unconvincing cop and swings between behaving like an overgrown 12 yr old and Supercop.

Good to see the soap police force aren’t overstretched in any way. Brandon was arrested, handcuffed and locked in a cell based on an anonymous tip off he’d stolen a half bottle of vodka. In the real world shoplifters walk out with high value items and the shop staff are powerless to do anything as the police don’t attend when called.

Not only Lauren, his own family don’t mention him much either.

But then we haven’t seen much of David, Shona and Lily lately.

I don’t think Corrie is depressing because I think it does mirror real life although obviously speeded up and we don’t, (well I don’t watch) it for comedy so yes it’s changed but so has the world

Mick looked really threatening. He looked quite unhinged at times. I bet that actor will find people swerving him if they see him out shopping!

Do the police go into work dressed for CID duties, then because the mentor isn’t happy, just change back into uniform, jump in the police car and resume other tasks?

Whilst said mentor is either moping away in the cafe or back at his home with his mum?

I thought Mick and Lou’s acting wasn’t bad last night.
