Thought I’d start a new thread as the other one is full. Nothing to say really at the moment because I said it at the end of the last thread. Hopefully we can carry on with our Corrie moans!

Goodness knows why they need so many staff.

Well, someone has to prep the hot pots.

I thought that was Sean’s job.

The amount of money Lauren will earn should pay for the non existent baby sitter. Are rents so low there?

I also thought that Roy would re-employ her.

I loathe Glenda. She has taken over the pub but empties it faster than a fire.

It seems to have been forgotten about Mick’s van and all the trouble with Chesney when the horrible pair first appeared on the scene.

When Chesney tampered with his petrol tank.

Mick knew it was Chesney, but nothing seems to have been mentioned again.

🤷‍♀️

Agreed. Lou is a nasty piece of work too. Sooner those two leave the better. The Rovers under Glenda's management is awful. It's empty most of the time now. Can't blame the locals for preferring the Bistro. The hotpots will be going off in the back 🤢

Calendargirl Thu 15-May-25 06:39:54

So who will be looking after Frankie when Lauren does her 2 hour shifts at the Rovers?

I really thought Roy would take her on again. Am sure Roy’s Rolls could do with her smiley face and sunny disposition, as she chucks tomato ketchup over the clientele.

And why on earth didn’t Maria sack ghastly Lou on the spot, after docking her pay for the pinched bottle of Prosecco?

Calendargirl Thu 15-May-25 06:35:46

I thought it was the somersault she did on to Kevin’s couch near the end. 😂

Although I don’t believe or agree with the writing of the storyline I think Debbie played a blinder tonight What was it ? she was heading out for a Twiddly TooToo’ I thought she played someone who’d had too much to drink so well

I don't like 'Glenda'

I'm pleased things are looking up, CSF flowers

Thank you. When a tiny baby’s health is involved (8 days old, and that was only part of it) it was terrifying. Thankfully, he is on the mend, and home now after four weeks in hospital so we can breathe again.
I won’t bore you with the other stuff but it wasn’t pleasant. One good thing is that my family all get on, so we were all there for one another.

Doodledog Wed 14-May-25 13:31:37

I could understand her being in denial, or not wanting to lose him; but not telling him and finishing the relationship gives both of them the worst of both worlds.

Clawdy Wed 14-May-25 08:13:09

Debbie being so vile to Ronnie is making me lose sympathy for her. Ridiculous storyline, her decision not to tell him.

Doodledog

I know. I hope they let him look after Debbie.

Don't worry about it, CSF. We all mix things up sometimes (well, I do, anyway).

Thank you Doodledog. You often reassure me and it is much appreciated.
I blame my cancer (kept under control for the moment 🤞) and several nasty things happening to my much loved and very close family members recently. Over the last couple of days though, things have improved all round, so hopefully I’ll not get confused as much! Don’t hold me to it though! I’m a bit of a dappy moo sometimes anyway!

nanaK54 Mon 12-May-25 22:21:39

Debbie, oh Debbie please just tell Ronnie the truth.

Doodledog Mon 12-May-25 22:20:07

Oh, and also, I am furious with Thick Mick for locking Liam in the room when h had an exam. That poor child (it's not the character's fault that he is badly acted) has gone through enough. His self-esteem must be rock bottom.

'All gong and no dinner'! Poor Ronnie!

Crossstitchfan Mon 12-May-25 13:12:56

I appeared to have repeated myself in the last few posts. I do apologise. I looked for what I thought I had written yesterday but somehow missed it, so made my point again. Blame it on old age.

Yes, of course Doodledog, I didn’t realise CS was talking about years ago!

If so, she’s being a bit harsh on Tracy, I feel.

Looking back several years, she’s bound to have aged compared to now.

I accept that she will have aged, as have I (and not very well!)
I was trying to say that I couldn’t understand how an attractive young woman could look so very different after a few years. Not just older, which, as you say is to be expected, but different. I hardly recognised her.
Rita, Audrey, Sally and a few others have all aged a lot but their actual looks haven’t changed. They’ve just aged.

I think CSF is mixing up Classic and Regular Corrie again grin.

Frankie was married to Danny Baldwin way back in the day. She was played by Debra Stevenson and he was Bradley Walsh.

Calendargirl Sun 11-May-25 18:19:25

Frankie’s Lauren’s baby. Who do you mean Crossstitch?

Tracy was written out for a while for illness, was it endometriosis or similar?

Crossstitchfan Sun 11-May-25 14:17:04

I still can’t get my head around what has happened to Tracy. As a young woman she was quite attractive but in her 40s she has got very plain. Every other long-term actress in Corrie has aged quite well. Look at Rita, Sally, Frankie, amongst others. It is really strange and I don’t see it happening with other famous females on tv. Is she ill?

Aveline Sun 11-May-25 12:12:41

So true LovesBach. She's had an appalling life. I think wardrobe and casting have done a good job on her. I think she looks exactly right for her circumstances.
