Thought I’d start a new thread as the other one is full. Nothing to say really at the moment because I said it at the end of the last thread. Hopefully we can carry on with our Corrie moans!

Well, just because they’ve said a few words to each other and swapped rings, doesn’t mean they are actually married.

Bit like another Corrie wedding (Daniel and Siobhan?) who got wed in the Gardens.

🤷‍♀️

Grannycool52 Wed 06-Aug-25 20:44:37

Gemma actually looks nice at the wedding, apart from the orangeness of her face, but Debbie seems to be in her pyjamas!

Calendargirl Wed 06-Aug-25 20:15:36

Hmm, so much for Brody turning over a new leaf?

Calendargirl Wed 06-Aug-25 16:33:54

Terry Wogan always referred to his lovely wife Helen as ‘the current Mrs Wogan.

Very tongue-in-cheek, am sure he adored her.

Aveline Wed 06-Aug-25 14:46:57

Of course

Aveline

You should maybe see my present husband!!

Do you call him your present husband to keep him on his toes? grin

Aveline Wed 06-Aug-25 14:18:02

Charleygirl5 Wed 06-Aug-25 14:08:14

Yes, I saw a photo of the character arriving. She is good, a pity about the scriptwriters.

Aveline I am very concerned about your present husband, and I am happy to help him as it is so unfair. What has that poor, innocent man done when his present wife has lost her mind and fallen for that clown?

Aveline Wed 06-Aug-25 12:13:01

I mean don't like spoilers. I'm just too excited to post properly.

Aveline Wed 06-Aug-25 12:12:27

Newsflash! I'm excited by one of the new characters due to arrive. You will be too, you will, you will, you will, you will, you will. (Clue.) Sorry Doodledog I know you like spoilers)

Bethany has left the sinking ship,….sorry cast PinkPrincess

Alfie doesn’t even come down from the bedroom wardrobe to have a meal with them he’s non existent I reckon he’s run off with ‘never to be seen again’ Harry who aged about 5 years over night then went missing Glory is obviously living with her Nan Aggie as they ve both disappeared around the same time
Joseph is locked in the posh boarding school and the quads have eaten each other out of hunger and boredom
Who have I missed ?

Thankyou BlueBelle, I think DeeDee,s child is next to disappear into the children's cupboard, until wanted for another dramatic storyline.

What a glorious finale to the wedding - I can't wait. A note of caution - do you think Bernie will take it graciously? It's always possible that you could have Bernie and Gemma as lifelong enemies. You may have to flee to India with Dev.

Aveline Tue 05-Aug-25 17:25:14

I'll loudly sing 'It should have been me' at the crucial moment. Dev will look round and see that it's me and come to his senses! Then he'll run down the aisle into my arms and we'll go off to the corner shop to price up some bargains. It'll be so romantic. Bernie? Pah!grin

Kate1949 Tue 05-Aug-25 17:20:07

That should say 'maybe you'll be moved' not over.

Kate1949 Tue 05-Aug-25 17:06:35

Embarrassing at the time!

Aveline Maybe you'll be .over to do what my Elvis made friend did when we were teenagers. I went to the pictures with her to see Blue Hawaii with her. When Elvis was coming down the river on a raft with his bride, my friend stood up and shouted in her broad Brummie accent 'Tek yer bleedin' hands orf 'im'.
I may have related that story before.

That’s hilarious! I’m still laughing!

Aveline as we know it is 50/50 whether Bernie will become an honest woman. Your nails must be non -existent because divorces can be so messy later if it does go ahead.

Lovetopaint037 Tue 05-Aug-25 11:05:05

Starting to really like Brodie and now he is starting to get-together with his real dad it looks like a happy ending. Not sure about Sally informing social services on the bruising. I would have thought the older child needed some Tim like counselling. Last thing the sisters need is splitting up. Looks as if Brodie is going to have another problem to solve. As for the miserable Aunty wonder if she will get drunk at the wedding.

Aveline Tue 05-Aug-25 08:46:34

It was wonderful. Such a treat!

Sarnia Tue 05-Aug-25 08:07:59

I hope Aveline has recovered after Dev's pole dancing.

Grannynannywanny Tue 05-Aug-25 07:33:34

To add to the absent children topic, wasn’t Lou’s opening scene causing a disturbance in Dev’s shop over the price of a pack of nappies? Where is the baby??

Oh no!!! The dreadful Betsy is back, and I still can’t stand her. She always sounds whiney, insincere and needy. I so hoped she had gone.
Deedee doesn’t get any better either. I can’t decide which I hate most, her or Betsy, How she cracks it as a solicitir, I have no idea. She doesn’t appear to have a brain cell in her head, or a modicum of common sense. And that dreadful hair!
What are the Corrie writers thinking? Can we just have some normal people for a while? Or is the whole of the Street weird and dysfunctional?

I agree with you on both.DeeDee is very irritating and Betsy is a spoilt brat.
I have never taken to Gemma, she shouts her lines and has one set expression on her face, Sam gives me the creeps with his stupid little whispery voice.Steve and Dev are competing n a silly faces competition.Abi has turned into an awful character, and where is her poor little son?.She had her twins adopted ages ago then made such a show of loosing Seb.I think the writers decided that all of her children were not part of her life at all. Mary and her little girl voice, and Sarah just seems to flash her eyes at every man in the street, while not bothering about her seemingly neglected son, and Bethany has vanished into the unknown.
Sorry to rant, but writers please get your act together.
