Thought I’d start a new thread as the other one is full. Nothing to say really at the moment because I said it at the end of the last thread. Hopefully we can carry on with our Corrie moans!

And Brody looked decidedly shifty when they were talking about Shanice’s bruises.

I wonder why?

Calendargirl Mon 04-Aug-25 20:42:35

That hen party and the even worse stag do!

😳

It gets worse.

Aveline Mon 04-Aug-25 20:41:58

And Brian. He makes me laugh.
With such a colossal cast (including all the characters I don't like too) you'd think the storylines might be a bit better.

Aveline Mon 04-Aug-25 20:40:13

Oh no. I also forgot Tyrone and Fiz.

BlueBelle Mon 04-Aug-25 17:18:12

I like Betsy I think she plays an excellent part of a mixed up teen and I think she’s a pretty girl who is older than she looks
(23 I think) I think I might like Brodie give me a week or two more Love Aadi and his sis
I don’t like Karl and afraid Abbi has joined him in my list of yuks Not at all keen on Billy (papa Smurf) Dev drives me insane with his silly voices Glenda, Mary, Gemma and Brian all irritate me and of course the horrible Theo and his even more horrible daughter Milly I m even going off wimpy Todd now
Love Debbie and I like Ronnie not too keen on naughty Nick or know it all Toya or whispery Sam
Oh dear not many likes really……well the indestructibly Kit phew I would’nt mind taking his pulse 🤗

Aveline Mon 04-Aug-25 17:09:11

I fear it may go ahead and I'll be doomed to be a bit on the side- a little home wrecker 🙁

Devorgilla Mon 04-Aug-25 16:48:09

We're all rooting for you this week, Aveline. Hope you have the champers on ice for when wedding goes pear shaped.

vegansrock Mon 04-Aug-25 16:45:31

Deedee used to be quite glam and now she looks like a sack of potatoes. Why does she conduct her solicitors work in the cafe? Didn’t they have an office?

Aveline Mon 04-Aug-25 14:13:04

It's just when you start to think of them you realise how many there are. I've just remembered Abi and Debbie, oh and Ryan. Then there's Billy. It's a huge cast. Might be easier to list the ones I don't like much.

Crossstitchfan Mon 04-Aug-25 12:50:54

You’ve shown me up now Aveline! With the exception of Betsy, I like all the characters you listed. Perhaps I’d better shut up? 🫢

Aveline Mon 04-Aug-25 12:44:34

I like Betsy, Evelyn, Roy, George, Gemma, Cheney, Kirk, Adhi, Asha, Dev (of course) Toyah, Swayne, Ken, Audrey, Steve, Tim, Sally, Jenny- och, who have I missed?

Crossstitchfan Mon 04-Aug-25 12:40:07

Oh no!!! The dreadful Betsy is back, and I still can’t stand her. She always sounds whiney, insincere and needy. I so hoped she had gone.
Deedee doesn’t get any better either. I can’t decide which I hate most, her or Betsy, How she cracks it as a solicitir, I have no idea. She doesn’t appear to have a brain cell in her head, or a modicum of common sense. And that dreadful hair!
What are the Corrie writers thinking? Can we just have some normal people for a while? Or is the whole of the Street weird and dysfunctional?

Charleygirl5 Mon 04-Aug-25 09:06:37

That is what one would have thought but we must not get in the way of the scriptwriters.

I sincerely hope something happens and Dev and Bernie do not tie the knot. There is some hope for you yet Aveline.

Grannynannywanny Mon 04-Aug-25 09:06:15

Although unbelievable and completely silly I enjoyed the scene with auntie Rani in the Rovers. I laughed at Bernie and her posh accent. It was light relief from the sinister behaviour unfolding in Todd’s home where horrible Theo is now in control.

I’m irritated by every scene with Dee Dee. I hope James leaves her to manage her own childcare and sets about rescuing Todd from Theo. James and Todd would be a nice match. I don’t know what Todd sees in the man size Ken doll. He’s treated Todd badly since day 1.

Chocolatelovinggran Mon 04-Aug-25 08:44:25

And, why is Noah, keen to be with Theo's wife, trying to encourage Theo to return to the straight path?
Surely it's in his interests for Theo to stay with Todd?

Sarnia Mon 04-Aug-25 08:26:43

Kate1949

I have a feeling that the Theo/Todd storyline is about to get very dark.

Todd/Theo relationship has distinct possibilities. The scriptwriters are showing that even same sex partnerships can have domestic violence going on.

Devorgilla Sun 03-Aug-25 15:18:34

Yikes! I hadn't realised the wedding is this coming week. Let's hope something dramatic happens before the vows are delivered and they are husband and wife.

Aveline Sun 03-Aug-25 07:50:08

I'd like to see that Charleygirl!

Charleygirl5 Sat 02-Aug-25 21:45:59

He probably had to vacate the bed to allow another Corrie resident to take over. I personally would like to put a few in a bed with a few well-aimed punches, but I do not know who will be next warming the sheets.

LovesBach Sat 02-Aug-25 21:29:05

Devorgilla I thought it entirely appropriate for someone barely conscious, badly injured, bristling with tubing and monitors, who has managed to catapult out of bed straight on to a bar stool. What a man!

Kate1949 Sat 02-Aug-25 16:01:17

I have a feeling that the Theo/Todd storyline is about to get very dark.

Dottydots Sat 02-Aug-25 15:38:13

I wonder how long Bernie will be able to keep up her posh accent in front of Aunt Rani?

Devorgilla Sat 02-Aug-25 11:10:44

LovesBach, I love that term Lazarus for Kit. Just as well Billy is on the Street to verify it. Auntie Rani looks a distinct possible to cause mischief. Aadi, confess all while you still can. So now Theo is trying to isolate Todd from Billy. I think Theo is so self loathing about being gay that he takes it out on the partner he is with but not on the wife. Did I imagine a few episodes ago he met someone he knew in the pub? And got rid of them sharpish. Adam is back.

Charleygirl5 Sat 02-Aug-25 11:08:44

Where did they find these writers? They do not even apply common sense. I have two brain cells rattling around but it would be so easy to stop the rubbish like coming off a plane, no luggage and going straight to a pub.

One day Lauren is jobless, two days later she is running the pub, with a face that would empty the room. Frankie can obviously care for himself and as somebody else said, like every other child on the street.

Calendargirl Sat 02-Aug-25 10:10:58

Yes, the therapist looks ‘dodgy’.

How tall was he, he made Swain look like a midget? Was it the camera angle?

Have forgotten quite why she needs ‘therapy’, but it makes a change from her sitting snivelling at home, clutching a cushion.

Why do they all clutch cushions?
