Thought I’d start a new thread as the other one is full. Nothing to say really at the moment because I said it at the end of the last thread. Hopefully we can carry on with our Corrie moans!

The storylines are very disjointed, the filming of them.

The other night appeared to be Brody’s first stint at the garage, yet a few episodes ago, Bernie was telling someone (Dev?) how impressed Kevin was with his work.🤷‍♀️

No wonder we often feel we have somehow ‘missed’ an episode.

I like David's hair.

Crossstitchfan Tue 19-Aug-25 22:40:07

I couldn’t believe David’s hair tonight. What on earth has he done to it? Doesn’t he ever look in the mirror?

What a boring snogfest Corrie is becoming. Are we ever going to get some decent believable storylines? It’s rubbish at the moment.

Clawdy Tue 19-Aug-25 22:13:42

Never seen an episode with so many silly snogging scenes, and some very boring scenes.

Well, give him another week, and Brody will be a fully fledged mechanic.

He’ll soon be doing his own dodgy MOT’s.

Surely not another mechanic needed in that tiny cramped garage?
What on earth do they all do all day?.They never seem to get dirty or constantly get oil all over their hands.Always finding time to prop up the bar in the Rover's in between working on car engines, and Abby's immaculate hair, make up and nails are just one big joke.
But this is Corrie not real life.

I don’t know which scenes are more 🤮.

Carl and Abi snogging.

Theo and Todd snogging.

Steve and Cassie doing whatever they do, but Steve in the nude!!! 🤮🤮🤮

Maggiemaybe Tue 19-Aug-25 00:27:16

It was in severe danger of developing into a Brian Rix farce at one point tonight, what with Steve and Cassie’s shenanigans and Tracey coo-eeing from the hotel bedroom. Let alone Sarah promising to keep it brief and flashing her flowery bra strap. grin

Kit and David both seem remarkably unconcerned about potentially wrecking Sarah’s career by their antics.

BlueBelle Mon 18-Aug-25 22:35:49

Kit can’t do wrong for me

David I ve never liked very much and Steve and Cassie and Karl and Tracey were all cringingly awful tonight yuk yuk yuk

I can take or leave Debbie. I've always found her character annoying (as in, if I knew her in real life I would avoid her), although there is no doubt that the part is well acted. I think that she and Ronnie would make a good couple behind the bar though - there could be some of the comedy that we saw in Bet's day.

Abi has never been believable. I wouldn't miss her at all, but the Street wouldn't be the same without Kevin. Since he was Hilda's lodger he's been part of things, and I hope he stays. Thee actor is looking rough though - I hope he's ok in real life.

Kit is a pantomime villain. I hope he's overreached this time and it sees him off. My jury is out where Brodie is concerned. I don't like the instant rehabilitation that happens in Corrie. David is the only long-running villain, and he's loveable in his peculiar way. He's gone from Devil child to a 'difficult' adult, and pretty much nothing the script requires him to do would seem out of character. He's attempted murder, blackmail and goodness knows what else, but somehow gets away with it. Anyway, Brodie could be a good character, and he does have ties to the cobbles via Bernie, Gemma and Kit. The actor is a good looking lad, which often bodes well for getting a long-running contract if they exist now, but so was Mason, and he didn't last long.

Oh dear whenAbi kissed Kevin she looked like a duck billed platypus

BlueBelle Mon 18-Aug-25 07:31:00

I think Debbie is planning on staying a while longer I think she has pulling power over the writers as they know she is so popular She’s one of my favourites in Corrie, she’s a natural actress
I agree I think the last couple of scenes at the wedding were overdone but the rest of it makes me laugh and Ronnie is the perfect laid back gentleman to her OTT character She makes me laugh

Grannynannywanny Sun 17-Aug-25 21:53:46

I wasn’t keen on Debbie in the early years but she’s really grown on me. I’ll be sad to see her go and I hope it’s not any time soon.

Clawdy Sun 17-Aug-25 16:41:32

I agree, she is very irritating now. Unlike most people, I'd be glad to see her go.

Aveline Sun 17-Aug-25 16:05:50

I had thought she was until recently. She's just irritating these days. Calm down Debbie.

dogsmother Sun 17-Aug-25 11:39:32

Another vote for Debbie to stay for years, she’s a wonderful character.

Aveline Sun 17-Aug-25 10:49:33

I just wish she'd calm down and stop overacting

Bukkie Sun 17-Aug-25 10:13:35

Debbie is brilliant. Sue Devany can play a range of emotions from brilliant comedy to heartbreakingly sad. I hope she will remain on the Street for many years to come.

Aveline Sun 17-Aug-25 09:56:59

Oh yuk!!
I'm sick of Debbie now. She's just too over the top. She can join DeeDee, Theo and Billy on the bus out of Weatherfield!

Primrose53 Sun 17-Aug-25 09:50:17

Aveline

Yes. Billy is just redundant these days. Not sure why he's hanging on.

Oh they’ll find something for him! Probably sucking Theo’s tonsils out. 🤣🤮🤮

Cabowich Sun 17-Aug-25 09:44:19

Probably not very socially correct of me but I thoroughly enjoyed Debbie's scorn at the suggestion she try a dementia choir.

She'll probably end up going, though, damn it.

Aveline Sat 16-Aug-25 14:03:05

Yes. Billy is just redundant these days. Not sure why he's hanging on.

BlueBelle Sat 16-Aug-25 12:45:26

Oh and Pappa Smurf

BlueBelle Sat 16-Aug-25 12:44:53

Can’t stand Steve, he and Dev can get on a slow coach to China and take Cassie, Abbie, Karl, Theo, and I hate to say it as I used to like her a lot but Dee Dee too

Aveline Sat 16-Aug-25 12:37:56

Hope actually looks like she really could be the child of Fiz and John Stape. Good casting. Presumably Ruby is permanently upstairs?
