Is anyone joining me for this year's extravaganza?

So far, we've got Chesney Hawkes.

rafichagran Mon 14-Apr-25 14:01:04

I would like to see Tricia, Ella and Chesney up, though the latter would not happen.
I would like to see Ella go, I find her tedious.

rafichagran Mon 14-Apr-25 13:58:20

I honestly think so far this has been the Mickey show. I hope others now get to show their true selves. Some will be likable, unpleasant, attention seeking, boring, sly, or game players.

I think the other housemates have been overshadowed by Mickey and it will be interesting to see what they are like now, what they are really like.

Toetoe Mon 14-Apr-25 13:53:29

Tricia will be up for eviction I don't think she adds much to the mix . I think there is a new housemate coming in . She is from America as was said on late and live . No idea who she is

nanaK54 Mon 14-Apr-25 13:53:10

Oops no I would vote for Ella and Trisha (not Angelica)

nanaK54 Mon 14-Apr-25 13:48:29

Any guesses about who will be up for eviction?
I think possibly Ella, Jack and Patsy.
If I was a contestant I would vote for Ella and Angelica.

I’ve lost a lot of interest in it now that Micky has gone…

Yes he was a character, but what he said and did was wrong, and he had to go. As I stated upthread, he should not have been asked to go in.

Mickey did not know what was going on half the time, he was volatile and unpredictable. The way he reacted to Chris proved this. His remark to Ella was disgusting and inappropriate.

Having said the above I think he is a sad vulnerable man who does not know boundaries, but he kept this show interesting and at times he showed a very sad side to him.

Yes, more or less what I said up thread…

Mickey was a loose cannon , I knew he wouldn't stay long . Wonder if he actually slept in his bed . I imagine he will get his fee either way .

Is there a romance with jojo and chris they are very flirty

Galaxy Sun 13-Apr-25 19:39:20

Er have you been listening to the news about strictly come dancing lately. I think there might be a few issues with bullying, etc there.

Cumbrianmale56 Sun 13-Apr-25 18:40:23

It's a matter of choice if people want to watch Big Brother, and 1-2 million still do, but I stopped when the awful incident with Shilpa Shetty occurred in 2007 and was becoming tired of the bullying, aggressive behaviour and stupidity of the housemates in the non celeb version. As reality shows go, I much prefer Strictly Come Dancing and Hunted.

I agree with you as well and feel there is a sort of vulnerability about Mickey.

That means two of the more interesting people have now gone. Mickey may well have had a degree of deafness after all the boxing.

rafichagran Sun 13-Apr-25 12:19:42

I agree with you Shinamae he is a very damaged individual. He did not understand what was going on half the time, like he was in a world of his own, and he also seemed to be a bit deaf as well.
He did bring interest to big brother and on another forum I read they set up a poll of who to save and Mickey was top by a long way.
Yes Shina Big Brother perhaps should not have put this controversial character in, and I hope he gets his full fee.

Shinamae Sun 13-Apr-25 10:11:12

This…

Just read Mickey has left

I am absolutely gutted, as I said before the man would’ve had head injuries He had a long boxing career, then did some acting and then went back to boxing then acting again.
It has been known for a very long time now that taking blows to the head Causes severe head trauma so why on earth did they ask him to go in?.. I think big brother should be ashamed for putting him in… And I hope he got ALL of his fee…

shysal Sun 13-Apr-25 09:06:49

Asked to leave after a heated altercation with Chris. I hope he won't get his fee, which I imagine was enormous!

Galaxy Sun 13-Apr-25 08:59:15

Yes I saw that. Asked to leave I think?

Thank you for replies to my question. I understand now .

Let's see what BB had in store for the housemates next . I love the psychology.

Do the housemates get given ear plugs to help them sleep I bet the snoring is awful 🙄

mae13 Sat 12-Apr-25 20:42:27

Ha! Ha! Ha! These days it seems anyone who's had a bit part in a single episode of Eastenders is automatically "a Star!"

Galaxy Sat 12-Apr-25 20:26:11

I am finding Tricia more and more difficult.

Crossstitchfan Sat 12-Apr-25 18:44:07

Allsorts

Cannot understand how anyone could watch it never mind be in it. It still goes on though.

How can you say that you can’t understand anyone watching it and then comment on it? You must have watched it to say what you said. Fine, if you don’t like it, stop commenting. Saying you can’t understand anyone watching it gives the wrong impression.

I am back to apologise - I have turned what should be a very light hearted thread into a serious discussion.
Further to that JoJo seems to be able to live happily alongside Mickey Rourke so I must not let it bother me so much.
Love and Peace.

No need to apologise. Reality TV is not as fluffy as many seem to think, and does sometimes throw up some serious matters.

Toetoe, corrective rape is when a lesbian is 'turned' heterosexual by having sex with a 'real man', whether she wants to or not. It's a ridiculous and offensive concept, but that is what Mickey was threatening to do to Jojo, who is young enough to be his granddaughter. There are times when an apology just doesn't cut it.

I didn't care who went between Mickey and Michael, but would probably have preferred someone different to go, as both are managing to make things interesting. It's always tricky in the early days, as there hasn't been time to show us much of many housemates.

Shinamae Sat 12-Apr-25 18:27:58

Toetoe

Nana I don't know what corrective rape is . I thought Mickey was just being anti gay . I also thought as he is from a different country they may have different feelings and views to us . He definitely doesn't have any awareness of what is rude and what isn't. can you help me with the answer please .

I totally agree with this…
I really like Mickey and I do think he has some mental health problems(remember, he was a boxer for years and probably sustained many blows to the head) but he is entertaining and he has apologised when he has said the wrong things..
