I don't usually watch award ceremonies but I caught the bit with Ruth Jones. She is an excellent actress and deserves her success.

I've only just watched Ruth's speech.

Ruth Jones can do no wrong in my eyes. I love Gavin and Stacey but Stella is better.

I’d watch just for Ruth Jo es and whatever she had to say. “Being Nessa” for a moment or two was entirely appropriate. 😊

I have never thought anyone would be interested if I didn’t watch a tv programme

I have never watched strictly or the antiques roadshow if anyone us interested.
I love the character of Nessa, I think the show itself was such a breath of fresh air - portraying 'ordinary people' which doesn't happen much anymore.

I remember resting that Caroline Aherne took years to convince the BBC to put a working class family in a sitcom on TV

Yes I didn't use the word working class but that is what I meant! And no 'issues' that weren't natural to the characters, no preaching, it was just a joy.

If you don’t watch them, how do you know they’re pathetic? It makes me so cross when people bother to point out that they don’t watch some thing but still think they are entitled to be rude about them.

Agree completely! I have just watched the clip and found it very moving……..what an absolutely lovely lady…….and a cracking actor!

Instead of watching these pathetic award shows, I expect Mojack26 makes herself an omelette. Or maybe orders a takeaway - chicken bhuna, lamb bhuna......
