I never minded Lorraine, although I haven't watched her for years.

I've never read anyone say anything positive about Denise Welch, I've only fleetingly watched Loose Women and thought it was bloody awful, loads of moaning and bitching particularly about men in a very sexist way. Above all, talking non stop about themselves and DW being the worst exponent in that respect. Well my bet is that most of us know someone who resonates like that, one way monologues in the nature of "ALL ABOUT ME" which is why she appears to get on everyone's nerves.

I consider Denise Welch to be a loudmouthed, vulgar woman and I'm not surprised Tim Healy left her. Mind you, he can be quite aggressive and nasty as well from what I've heard.
As for Lorraine, yes she can come across as a bit sugary and some people say she's false, but I find he preferable to the Loose Women. Also she is known locally for covering the Lockerbie disaster when she was a journalist and is more versatile than people think.

Lorraine Kelly and her squeaky giggly voice I would never watch. She is so ingenious. As for loose women , all profess to struggle with lifes bills and mortgages. Playing a game of let's pretend we are normal and understand struggle . Certainly won't be missed by me . All very fake

They'll all be on at least 200k a year, probably have rich partners and no way could they be classed as ordinaty in that respect. I certainly wouldn't think any of them struggle to pay the bills or live in rented bedsits.

I agree 100% it's the make up

Millie22 Sat 24-May-25 14:29:10

Of course Lorraine looks good for her age. She has a team of people faffing around with her hair and make up every morning.

Won’t affect me, I don’t watch either of them….

My interest is waining fo LW. Individually they are ok but together they are full of self importance! Too full on and not sincere ( IMO ) time to say goodbye I think. L

I have watched Loose Women in the past. It is awful. I agree with Annie. Denise Welch is dreadful.

I record Lorraine as I like the fashion items and the health items. Lorraine herself is sycophantic, practically on her knees to her guests. Shame really. When she started off as a reporter she was good.

Of course Lorraine looks good for her age. She is rich!

Not a morning person and can’t watch television until the evening.
I used to occasionally watch Loose Women if recuperating after surgery etc., but never now.
On the odd occasion staying with DD, I have found LK very irritating in the morning.

Loose women is one of those programmes that I don’t go out of my way to watch but will watch it if I come upon it whilst channel hopping ( bit like First Dates or those hospital A&E programmes). The had a Loose Men programme the other day which I thought was a good idea. Years ago my must watch daytime tv programme was Pebble Mill at One which, imo was ground breaking and very good.Do any other Midlanders remember it!

The whole ITV lot have had it to good for to long.
Overpaid and full of their own self impotance.
Loose women talking men down that surly isnt right ??

GMTV Ed Balls presenting and interviewing politicions and his wife is in the cabinet,
Just not ideal.

I’m sure it’s balanced out by the right wing Richard Madeley on other days…

Lorraine Kelly looks very good for her age, though, but maybe she's considering retirement. I know she no longer has to commute from Broughty Ferry every week for her show, but she's probably thinking her career is coming to an end.
Loose Women is pretty rank IMHO. It's rare I see this show and not by choice, but I can remember seeing one show and the panel were leering and making remarks about a male model on the show. Now imagine what would happen if a panel of men did this to a young woman.

Ditto

Homestead62 Sat 24-May-25 13:19:33

Never watch them.

Cumbrianmale56 Sat 24-May-25 13:14:24

I notice that ITV from next January are to reduce Lorraine and Loose Women by 22 weeks a year. Lorraine in particular is to be really cut back, with her show reduced to 30 minutes and Good Morning Britain to end at 9.30 instead of 9.00.
I wonder if these very long running shows are for the axe as Lorraine is 66 now and might be considering retirement, and Loose Women has been losing viewers to better offerings on BBC One. Anyone still watch and enjoy these shows, or do they consider them worn out and in need of replacement?
