I found this as a source of light relief away from the conflicts going on in the world and in this country. It is about three couples who live in a seaside town on the East coast and their ups and downs; the females of the couples are Alison Steadman, Paula Wilcox and Stephanie Beacham, the males are Philip Jackson, James Smith and Russ Abbott who I remember as a comedian from years ago. There are also occasional appearances from June Whitfield who plays Stephanie Beacham’s mother.

It was on a few years ago, BBC I think.

Are Netflix buying up old stuff from them?

June Whitfield died at the end of 2018 so it must have been made at least six years ago.

Yes it’s an old BBC series. I remember it being quite cringy.

This sounds like a delightful escape! A lighthearted series about seaside town life and relationships is exactly what's needed. It reminds me of the simple joys you can find in io games; quick, easy fun. The cast is fantastic – I especially remember Russ Abbott from his comedy days. Alison Steadman and the rest of the cast are brilliant choices for portraying the ups and downs of these couples. iogamesonl.com/

I watched all the episodes, gentle comedy rather than laugh out loud. That’s the good thing about Netflix as it offers both old and new films and series.

"Gentle comedy rather than laugh out loud"..... that's how I felt about it, Oreo.
