Been an emmerdale fan for many years but am seriously considering giving up on it. Too many horrible characters, John,Robert and Joe , Nate’s murder , etc. no lighter moments , all doom and gloom.

Im still watching Bluebelle, Lewis is a great actor and portrays his needs very well, loving crazy Kev!!!
But it must be time for the drugs saga to come to an end, its just boring now, they will maybe save it for a Christmas special.

BlueBelle Fri 21-Nov-25 06:54:58

Good morning everyone this thread seems to have dropped out
Is anyone still watching Emmerdale ?
I just wanted to say I think Lewis has played a blinder lately , what a great actor he is He is showing us all with such great skill how difficult life can be for an adult with autism I know it is natural for him but I think he has played the part so sensitively and really showing the down side as well as the positive side
What a lovely chap Do I see a little romance on the horizon

I stopped watching it about 3 months ago.
Started rewatching recently, but not sure how long I will be around for it.
I fast forward the April storyline.

I’ve been feeling that way too Ellie Anne just watched tonight’s episode after avoiding it for a bit and , well , goodness me, that was powerful as they say, but more to the point it’s been showing a side of life out there that thank goodness I only know of through the newspapers. It shows how wrong it is to victim blame and to question why someone doesn’t come forward for years or decades or ever. Sad

Ellie Anne Mon 03-Nov-25 19:45:26

I’m really hating this April storyline. Think I might have to stop watching.

love0c Tue 09-Sept-25 08:39:34

Ah, just googled it! Ha ha. It appears I missed the bit where John told Robert that Eric knew where his mother was and intimated she knew of secrets!!! John had told everyone else that she was dead. John playing on Robert! I must have switched off during that conversation. All getting daft IMO.

love0c Tue 09-Sept-25 08:25:26

Thanks, but I was meaning why is Robert asking Eric or indeed anyone about John's mother. I only ever remember John saying his mother was dead.

Grannynannywanny Tue 09-Sept-25 08:24:34

I had managed to avoid any spoilers. When I realised they were close to a gorge it was obvious someone was going over the edge. But I was shocked at John taking Aaron with him.

If only Robert had phoned the police when he got back on his feet after the struggle with John. I suppose it’s possible he did and we’ve yet to see it. But it’s more likely the only police call will be John’s and it’s placed Robert in the frame.

Poor Mack. How will they find him now 😱

BlueBelle Tue 09-Sept-25 07:46:04

Sorry phone rang, so left half my post unsaid
Robert had found out they were staying in John‘s old family home where his mother used to live so he was quizzing Eric to see if he knew where it was.

BlueBelle Tue 09-Sept-25 07:41:38

Robert was trying to find out the address where Aaron and John were staying so he could see if he could save Aaron from John s clutches

love0c Tue 09-Sept-25 07:27:37

Can anyone throw light on last night? Robert asking Eric if he still kept in touch with John's mother?????????

Ellie Anne Tue 02-Sept-25 19:59:11

All doom and gloom just now.
And how predictable is the April and Dylan drugs story.

Grannynannywanny Mon 01-Sept-25 20:35:10

I jokingly posted a couple of days ago John is probably giving Mack intravenous fluids and antibiotics in the bunker. I wasn’t really expecting it to be true 😆

Bridie22 Sat 30-Aug-25 09:48:43

I agree, thinking John bumped of his mother .
Why is he keeping Mac alive though?

Grannynannywanny Sat 30-Aug-25 08:24:04

I had given up all hope for Mack when he wasn’t in the locked bedroom. I hadn’t seen any spoilers so seeing him alive in the underground cellar was a surprise. Especially as he’s looking remarkably well considering he’s been lying there for days with a collapsed lung.

I suppose John has expertly removed the arrow and re inflated his lung and given him some IV fluids and antibiotics from his medical box of tricks.

I couldn’t keep up with John’s explanation of why he’d never told Aaron he owned a house. It seemed to start with saying it held too many painful memories . Then the next minute he wanted them to live there because it held so many happy memories.

Anyone thinking John has probably finished off his mother?

Bridie22 Sat 30-Aug-25 07:43:33

Mac is still alive yeah!!
Celiac is growing on me now.

sodapop Fri 22-Aug-25 12:43:39

I generally like Emmerdale but last night's episode was beyond silly. Where did the bow & arrow appear from? Why didn't Mac keep quiet about the photo.? How did John get the body back to the camper van.
Who is the idiot who writes these scripts? These and many other philosophical questions are keeping me awake at night.

BlueBelle Fri 22-Aug-25 08:07:09

Granny I keep seeing Celia wave a magic wand she IS the pantomime baddie I want to shout ‘she’s over there’
Moira has done very well to never have any repercussions from having had a brain tumour oh I forgot that storyline is done and dusted and forgotten about
If Mac lives through an arrow penetrating his heart (well upper body) and being smashed with a big rock it will be another miracle to add to the list I’m sure I read he is being written out though
Anyone who watches Corrie does it remind you of Stephen’s rampage of murder

Grannynannywanny Fri 22-Aug-25 07:54:03

Celia is like a pantomime villain and looks every inch a stereotypical baddie. Hopefully Moira will come to her senses soon and relieve her of her silly stick and chase her through the village with it.

I’m confused with Kim being so underhanded about acquiring the farm. I thought she’d been on very friendly terms with the Dingles in recent years. Lydia her cleaner now her close friend. I’m surprised she’d want to cross Cain. She appears to be returning to the hard hearted and cruel Kim of yesteryear.

Bea65 Fri 22-Aug-25 07:35:29

Mac is the best character and he can’t be dead…and he’s handsome IMO.
John needs to go as am fed up with him murdering folk…
Celia is evil looking and Moira seems to look younger with her hair colour…
I COULD GO ON …

Grannynannywanny Fri 22-Aug-25 07:28:32

Was anyone else saying to the tv while the van was still in the farmyard “Mack get out of the van! He saw the photo which confirmed John was the killer but he went off with him.

I’m pinning my hopes on Mack still being alive but it’s not looking good. I like his character.

Moira is being unusually naive allowing herself to be taken in by the ghastly Celia. I hope Robert realises she’s fleecing them and stops her in her tracks.

Bridie22 Fri 22-Aug-25 07:22:43

I'm hoping Mac isn't dead, that blanket was definitely moving in the van... please somebody rescue Mac, and get rid of daft John and his silly rolled up sleeves let alone his murdering tendencies!

Astitchintime Fri 22-Aug-25 07:16:40

BlueBelle

Oh dear poor Mac is there no end to Johns killing spree reminds me of Stephen in Corrie who was bumping everyone off left right and centre

Isn’t it time this ridiculously long saga of killer John was brought to a conclusion? How is he going to dispose of Mac’s body with Aaron in the campervan too? Getting too silly for words now.
And…………I wouldn’t want to be in that Celia characters shoes when Moira finds out that she’s in camp Kim Tate!!!

Poor April is playing with fire. She must ditch that useless boyfriend of hers.
