Time for the next thread.

Oh I hope the vile Carl isn’t Debbie’s secret son. If there is a secret child out there I’m hoping they’ll turn up and inherit the hotel and leave the devious Carl with nothing but a jail sentence.

Charleygirl5 Wed 03-Dec-25 08:44:20

Clawdy I agree. I also have had enough of them, We know it will not be a happy ending. I only hope Todd doesn't end up being arrested. I would have taken a knife to Theo by now.

After the odd comments Todd made in the last episode, I think he is beginning very slowly to realise what Theo is like.

love0c Wed 03-Dec-25 08:36:39

Calendargirl Just googled the ages of Debbie and Carl in Corrie. Almost 20 tears between them. You may well be correct??!! Carl could be Debbie's son?!

Clawdy Wed 03-Dec-25 08:32:48

I've started fast forwarding the Theo-Todd scenes now, too disturbing. Just want that storyline over, but I know it will drag on for weeks.

Beechnut Tue 02-Dec-25 21:29:43

Todd and Theo live in the flat above Dev’s shop which Dev also owns.

I’ve just googled who lives where.

Calendargirl Tue 02-Dec-25 19:32:02

Whose flat is it that Todd and Theo live in?

I lose track of all the Corrie flats.

Who lives over Dev’s, the flower shop, the builder’s yard, the hairdresser’s,, what used to be the bookies, ….?

theworriedwell Tue 02-Dec-25 18:47:52

Beechnut

I can’t figure out Todd and Theo’s flat. When they go through their bedroom door it’s between their living room wall and the entry to flat door. Is the bedroom down a passageway? 🤔

We need a floor plan.

Yes most Corrie babies are born at Christmas. Rosie, David, Joseph, the Mallet twins. When I used to watch Eastenders and Emmerdale they also had Christmas babies.

theworriedwell Tue 02-Dec-25 17:48:38

Wasn't David born at Christmas? I was 9 months myself at the time so I might be confused.

Aveline Tue 02-Dec-25 16:33:48

Oh no. That will be painful viewing. Don't tell Doodledog she hates spoilers.

Cabowich Tue 02-Dec-25 15:40:56

Ooh, yes, and me, Dottydots.

Just read that the week after next there's going to be an episode devoted entirely to Todd and Theo.

Dottydots Tue 02-Dec-25 15:00:31

Yes, Cabowich, last night's episode really was wonderful. All the girls getting together and having a good laugh. It reminded me of when I used to go out with my lovely work mates. If only I could turn back the clock to those happy days.

Aveline Tue 02-Dec-25 11:58:59

Don't forget that worrying baby on the way. Soaps do like a Christmas miracle.

Cabowich Tue 02-Dec-25 10:58:14

I really enjoyed last night's episode. A lot of main female characters getting drunk, having a laugh and enjoying themselves for once. A lighter episode amidst all the doom and gloom.

It should be a really good Christmas with a number of story lines coming to a head. Perhaps the Todd/Theo story? Perhaps the Carl/Abi story? And hopefully the Carla/Becky/Lisa fiasco.

It'll be awful if none of the above get 'resolved' over Christmas and drag on into the New Year and beyond.

Charleygirl5 Tue 02-Dec-25 10:52:28

I am not looking forward to is it Eastenders or Emmerdale, intertwining because I only watch Corrie, so I will not know any of the other characters.

Yes, Debbie's expression changed when children were mentioned.

Kevin looks so much older than Debbie and Carl.

I hope Kit is able to retrieve the money after Carl empties the account and does a runner.

I hope Billy or George notice how odd Tadd is acting and delve deeper before Todd is one of George's clients.

Aveline Tue 02-Dec-25 09:23:07

Glenda is George's sister and already doesn't like her.

Calendargirl Tue 02-Dec-25 09:16:35

Yes, Debbie definitely clammed up when children were mentioned.

How old is she meant to be? How old is Carl?

We had never heard of Carl until he appeared on the scene some months ago. He was always in Germany.

Could Debbie have had a baby when she was very young, and her parents brought him/her up as theirs? Abroad?

She also told Carl how important he was to her. 🤷‍♀️

I was disappointed in Christina being so bitchy about Glenda. Why does it matter to her if G got herself a boyfriend?

love0c Tue 02-Dec-25 07:48:45

I felt Debbie had a strange look on her face when asked about children? Does she have a child we do not know about???? Kev found out in Emmerdale he had one. The same theme always runs through the two soaps.

Calendargirl Mon 01-Dec-25 21:02:35

Well, tonight was one of those much better episodes.

Debbie and her inspirational talk, then Bernie discovering the hidden pictures and notes to help her remember…. very poignant.

And poor Todd, yet again at the mercy of evil Theo, because yes, he really is evil, the way he treats Todd.

And silly Dev, still bumbling around Asha, trying to help, but getting it all wrong.

Lots of food for thought on tonight’s programme.

Grannycool52 Sun 30-Nov-25 17:21:57

With reference to unfinished stories, does anyone remember when two Eastern European women were found hiding in the factory? I think it was at the time of Danny Baldwin. Anyway, some of the staff became complicit in their staying around, the one of them fell out of the loft in the factory and was killed. Somehow it was all covered up and never investigated by the police.
I have always felt this was a loose end that was never tied up.

Maggiemaybe Sun 30-Nov-25 17:16:27

Has Lisa been getting Becky's police pension? Will she have to pay it back? She was supposed to be her widow.

That’s a very good point, theworriedwell! I doubt she’d have to pay any back that she received while she genuinely thought Becky was dead, but she’s drawing it fraudulently now.

Poor Todd, it’s just heartbreaking to watch this storyline escalating.

I think with this plot and the horrible, scheming Carl, Corrie’s actually on a bit of a roll at the moment. I really want to see how these stories develop.

But I agree with anyone hoping we’re nearing the end of the Carla/Lisa/Becky thing - it’s gone round and round in circles for way too long. I don’t care what happens to any of them as long as we get an end to it.

Well, that told me! You’re probably right, and it’s just that I am getting so bored with Carla etc., Your précis of the story and wha’s to come has perked my interest a bit. I really am enjoying the Theo/Todd story. Perhaps the writers should stop things dragging on for so long. That would help.
Someone the other day pointed out how many stories have never been finished. Perhaps those could be tidied up and put to bed too.
I’ll keep watching - I am obviously having a bad day today and let it get to me. I never have been a fan of the dreary Carla anyway.

Aveline Sat 29-Nov-25 16:25:39

No it's not! The Theo/Todd story is very real and relevant. I agree Lisa/Becky/Carla is tedious. However, soon Carl will get himself into trouble and Abi and Debbie will be left wondering what happened! The new pub family has hardly got going as a story apart from Will and his coach. Tim and Sally and their new adopted family have a way to go. Random characters like Roy, Brian and George provide varied entertainment. Will Asha make a good recovery with the aid of her chums? Tyrone and Fiz lurching on. Shona's baby - will it be OK? Will she survive the op? Steve and Cassie's romance. Deedee on the way out. Sooooo much going on on one short street!

Crossstitchfan Sat 29-Nov-25 14:56:56

I think that so many people say they have no interest in the Lisa, Becky, Carla drivel that it should be knocked on the head, and soon. Lisa only has one expression, Becky is totally dislikable and Carla is sooooooo boring!
Careful, producers…Corrie is rapidly going down the pan!
