Corrie Yet Again!

Crazy thing for Todd to do! Within minutes Theo is back to his old self. This storyline is very upsetting.

Very pleased that Abi has discovered what Carl is up to and I hope she stops him in his tracks. Looking like she will get back with Kev though.

I don't watch Emmerdale either, so won't know the characters, but looking forward to the joint episode.

It has struck me that we are the 3rd generation watching the 3 big British soaps and I suspect we are the last.
No wonder viewing numbers are dropping.

I wonder if the CorrieDale episode is the first of several. Is it possible the producers might work towards eventually amalgamating these two soaps, given that they share some writers, in the light of the falling viewing numbers?
Just speculating....

I'm looking forward to this soap mash-up thing on Monday. It looks quite exciting. I won't be any good on the Emmerdale characters, but there's going to be some upheaval for all concerned, apparently.

I thought a while back there was a little spark between Kevin and Glenda. I’d like to see Abi’s face if she walked in to the Rovers to find Kev and Glenda loved up.

But in true Corrie style poor downtrodden Kevin will probably take Abi back yet again.

Will Kevin have Abi back when she runs back with her tail between her legs? I hope not.

Carla’s cupboard must stink 🤮. No toilet facilities and she’s been in there for days.

It’s going to be on on Monday, Jodieb. Lots of spoilers online about which characters are involved (don’t worry, I’m not about to elaborate!). I won’t know any of the Emmerdale lot as I haven’t watched it since Annie Sugden’s day, but I’m looking forward to seeing what happens.

Having seen Tracey in action counselling Abi last night, I must say I was impressed. “Don’t be such a sap!”. Indeed, Abi, get all your ducks in a row then get rid!

Has Corriedale been on tv already? If so, what was it like?

Doodledog I feel we may miss something because apparently there are going to be "twists". Heaven knows how we will work out who half the characters are, as many of us don't watch Emmerdale.

I hope this is not a "taster" for more.

Is Evelyn a fully qualified solicitor now?.It cannot get worse.

What's the deal with Corriedale? I wasn't going to watch, as I don't follow Emmerdale, but if it's going to advance Corrie storylines maybe I should.

I have always found Evelyn's character most unpleasant. Now we have two unlikeable elderly women. I am glad we have Rita and Audrey as counter balance.
Somehow undead Becky has managed to get a Rhubarb Hill website set up.
Does anyone watch Emmerdale?

I think the first thing Carla would do when she got out of the cupboard would be to go for a wee.

It's the name of the house in the Lake District that Costello had amazingly found the cash to buy. Becky set up a fake website for the apparent hotel after she'd heard Costello mumble the words.

I assumed it was a code name for where she’s being held. Kit (or Lisa) will work it out and they can rescue her.

I think I am missing something here.
Why on earth would a Hotel in Lanzarote be called the Rhubarb Hill? Such a bizarre name, Im convinced its an "in" joke between the writers.
Surely a quick Google by one of Carla's friends would reveal the truth by now.

Evelyn's a character of a type. Her behaviour is exactly what you'd expect of her. I took would like to see more of Brian but Mary was a complete psychopath when she started. Remember her kidnapping Norris? Presumably her and George are sharing Eileen's house. Bit odd.

I’m not so keen on Evelyn filling up her Tupperware with the party food and picky bits from the buffet.

And not buying a present either.

And accepting free drinks from others, but rarely putting her hand in her own pocket to reciprocate.

We all seem to think she’s marvellous, but would we be so keen if we met Evelyn in real life?

I think Billy is starting to realise there's something not quite right with Todd and Theo's relationship. Hurrah at last Carla realised she could escape her loosely tied hands! I love Evelyn but if she ends up working with Adam as a solicitor in place of Dee Dee it will be ridiculous. I would like to keep Brian and give him some stories, tone Mary down to how she was when she first joined. I find Ed and Michael completely inoffensive too.

Did Carla just shove Becky, or did she cut her with the broken china?

When are we ever going to see the conclusion of the Todd and Theo storyline? Poor Todd. Theo is utterly vile. Surely by this stage those closest to Todd should have an inkling that something is amiss.
