Time for the next thread.

How easy is it to get a visiting order to Weatherfield prison?

vegansrock Tue 13-Jan-26 03:53:36

How come undead Becky ‘s trial and sentencing seem to happen overnight?

Yes Theo was thoughtfully pondering those photographs. He really puts me on edge. I just want to reach into the television and hug Todd.

Devorgilla Sun 11-Jan-26 11:52:11

Theo spent a while looking at the selected photos. I wonder what he plans for those.

Benedorm?

Yes he was Aveline. He ran the hairdressers. He was funny.

It really irked me when Theo weaselled his way into going with Todd and Summer to discuss Billy’s funeral arrangements.

I was so hoping one of them, ideally Summer said, “No, actually Theo, this is a private matter that just concerns the two of us. No need for anyone else to be there, thanks”.

Summer is playing her part well, as the distraught ‘daughter’.

Very realistic crying scenes, very believable.

Sarnia and NanaK54, I think we have it sussed. The Police have to examine the wreckage for faults, maintenance etc. It's amazing what they can find out even from photos. One of the reasons why, if you are in an accident, you should take photos from all angles. I can't see why we would have seen Theo fasten the belt if not to have it used against him later. Where was Billy found? Still in the car, even if a charred wreck? Todd is far from happy and seems to be brooding underneath it all. Justice for Billy.

It’s frustrating when they don’t get basic facts right. Surely the police wouldn’t have accepted Debbie’s version of events about who was driving without asking the medical staff to check for the tell tale seat belt bruising. This would confirm the odious Carl was driving and Debbie was the passenger.

Yep - seatbelt bruising and unless Carl readjusted the driving seat position it would (surely) be clear that she couldn't even reach the peddles she is tiny and he is very tall.

If, as some viewers think, Theo reattached Billy's seat belt I hope Todd gets to hear about it from the Police. Didn't he ask Theo to go and check if he got out?

But how would the Police know?

There was an excellent series on recently following the work of the crash detectives. There are many tell-tale signs at a crash site that help police form a true picture of what happened. For example, airbags contain an event data recorder that gives the investigators information on what happened during the impact including whether seatbelts were deployed, released or damaged. Hopefully, something like this will seal Theo's fate.

Oooh I like that idea!

I was involved in a crash several years ago. The bruises caused by the seatbelt took months to disappear. Surely Ronnie would see them at some time fairly soon. They are supposedly on honeymoon!

Surely what Sarnia talks about would be applicable for Debbie and Carl’s car as well?

I hope that George will recognise Todd's stress and the reason for it fairly soon, before Todd does something he will regret. Billy knew, but he was no longer around to help; Theo had made sure of that by re-fastening his seat belt.

I have no idea if Dr. Gaddas is gay or not. I meant team up in the professional sense in the medical centre.

But if he is a high flying surgeon, he is hardly going to want a transfer to the Rosamund Street Medical Centre, even if it means a chance to work with saintly Dr Gaddas, gay or not.

And also actually as head teacher at Wethy High

Calendargirl Fri 09-Jan-26 17:35:06

No idea if Dr Gaddas is gay in real life, but I remember a good while ago, some comment she made indicated she was gay (in Corrie).

Let’s face it, the woman is a saint! Must be the only single handed GP practice in the country that can fit everyone in at a moment’s notice, do home visits, attend accidents, give out helpful leaflets….

I have been surprised by how often George ( the actor that plays him!) pops up in olde TV shows. I am just re watching Foyle's war, and up pops George. Watched a drama with Lindsey Duncan and Mathew McFadyen and there is George!
Anyone else had any sightings?

Charleygirl5 Fri 09-Jan-26 13:57:12

I had never given a thought to Dr Gaddas being gay. Is that also in real life? It would be easier to list who's straight as there are fewer.

I also find the half-hourly sessions very bitty.

Not just you Calendargirl. I picked up that his partner was male too.

Me too. I thought I heard a man's voice over the phone. I hope he will become a new character but he would be too well off to live on the street.
