Oh dear. I thought this was about the Bridget Jones film. Which I watched for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed.

I disagree. It was very much of its time . Rather boring and I didn’t like the characters or the actors. They were very actory ( if that is a word)

What a wonderful series this is, and it hasn't dated one bit. RIP Bob Peck. Your fans miss you. Remember seeing him as Iago in an RSC production of Othello in the 1970s and you couldn't take your eyes off him.

Oh,did he? I don't watch Corrie but I do know that Richard Fleeshman's mum is Sue Jenkins who was in both Corrie and Brookside.

Oh, that's interesting, PaynesGrey. I remember Richard Fleeshman from Corrie years ago. He played Craig Harris, Rosie Webster's boyfriend.

I am enjoying watching this again. Forty years old and of its time but still gripping.

Great to see so many actors as their younger selves, Charles Kay, Ian McNeice, Tim McInnerney and many others.

Bit of trivia. David Fleeshman who plays Craven's police colleague Jones, is father of Richard Fleeshman who plays Jojo (Holly's date that takes an unexpected turn) in Riot Women.

I watched it first time round and more recently on i player. Excellent but scary.

Yes, I also remember it being very ground breaking and edge of your seat stuff, and caught a few minutes of it last night.

Great television and good to see it being re-run after all this time.

Not forgetting the brilliant soundtrack from Eric Clapton and Micheal Kamen.

Yes, I was surprised to see Eric Clapton named as the composer of the theme music.

I remember it first time round, and how frightening it was.

Sorry, pressed send too soon. Cast includes John Woodvine, Joanne Whalley and Ian McNiece. Was shown on BBC 4 last night, but all episodes on iplayer. I have no recollection of it first time round, probably too busy with a toddler and new baby to watch much TV! It's a political thriller, and well worth a watch.

An old series from 1985, with a great cast, including Bob Peck,
