Anyone up for a Traitors thread?

I wondered if Amanda and Fiona could be a couple. With no foundation or logic at all - The Traitors tends to make me suspect all sorts of nonsense. smile

I wonder if it is Harriet. She wasn't seen on camera a lot but spoke out against Hugo loud and clear. What better way to convince others you are a faithful than to get the first traitor out.

I really enjoyed last night. I felt a bit more clued up last night with the names and who’s who.

I love that it’s a programme enjoyed by all 3 generations of the family and we continue to chat about it between episodes.

I record it and only watch the breakfast reveals, the tasks (which are pretty good) and the round table. I can't be bothered watching them all speculating and talking nonsense. I do like Claudia. She manages to be both stern but also kind and good fun.

I think the secret traitor is a mature woman, so Harriet, Fiona or Amanda? I may be completely wrong. I was trying to figure out where Claudia stopped to touch their shoulder, but no luck. The handwriting looked female, but it could be disguised. I would have used capital letters! It’s a great twist because now all the viewers are also in the dark.

Good point. I hadn’t thought of that. I originally thought Fiona and then Ellie when she mentioned the secret traitor, but it looks as if there is another contender.

I have a few questions:-
What happens after everyone is driven home? Do the traitors travel back to the castle or do they never leave till after the turret meeting?
Where is the room used to film a faithful reading their murder letter? It looks like the castle, but haven’t they already left for the night?
Where do all the contestants stay so they can’t contact each other?
How does the programme manage to keep it all secret until it’s on air? It’s obviously filmed during the Summer.
I’ve also thought it seems a bit creepy filming contestants in their rooms, but they must have agreed to it!

Do they all stay overnight in different premises?

nanaK54 Sun 04-Jan-26 13:07:10

They overnight at The Marriott Hotel near Inverness Airport, obviously kept apart until they travel back to the castle for breakfast...

Ok, ta, so where do they get their ‘murdered’ message?

Allira Sun 04-Jan-26 13:20:28

It's obviously highly edited so we have to assume much.

ferry23 Sun 04-Jan-26 13:36:51

I think I read that the murder message actually takes place in the morning. It's always the same room so presumably the castle. I don't think Marriott hotel rooms are furnished in that style! Although I can't work out how the murdered contestant doesn't know what's happening before they enter the room.

Who was Reece blowing multiple kisses to as they divided themselves into two teams for the task, & went their separate ways?

FindingNemo15 Sun 04-Jan-26 15:11:50

This is my first series and so far so good.

TiggyW. I too cannot work out how the Traitors hold their secret meeting in the turret room without the others noticing they are missing or staying behind.

Maybe I am reading into it too much.

They leave the castle on their own and get in a car on their own and taken to the hotel to their room.

The traitors leave but don’t go to the hotel and then come back to do the murder.

The one murdered finds out in the morning in the castle

TiggyW Sun 04-Jan-26 17:49:13

So the one who’s murdered must arrive in the morning, before the others and be taken to be filmed opening their letter.

Maybe, not sure

As Allira said upthread it is highly edited

I read somewhere last season that the turret room isn’t at the castle, it is a studio built at or near to the hotel.

Also the people seen floating around in the cloaks at the castle could well be production team members, not contestants, as their faces are never shown.

nanaK54 Sun 04-Jan-26 18:27:23

I think perhaps the best idea is to just take it all at face value, enjoy it and not get too worried about the finer details

BlueBelle Sun 04-Jan-26 18:41:53

Oh gosh that’s all so pedantic just take it as a game show with a difference I ve never even thought about where their bed rooms are, how big they are, if they sleep in a double or single bed if where the turret is
Just enjoy it’s not real !

If I did that I doubt very much I'd be so invested in it.

For me, getting involved in the deceptions, intrigue and cover ups make it twice as enjoyable.

I spend most of the programme asking myself questions!

specki4eyes Sun 04-Jan-26 21:39:24

I can assure all you Traitors fans that i didn't "watch it". I gave it 20 minutes of my time to see what all the hype was about then switched off because I had some (more interesting) paint to watch drying. smile

Hopefully the grans popping on here to say they don’t like it or never watched it will get tired soon and leave those of us who do enjoy it to waffle on

Agree!

I was told that participants are called into interview rooms at various parts of the day so it is quite normal for people to disappear at times. It is great telelvision mainly because of the editing for me. Somehow it works.

Yes, I agree
