Anyone up for a Traitors thread?

I think there was a lot of childish squabbling and shrieking from many of the women. And some of the men were boorish and certainly people you wouldn't want to live with!

It may have had a different editing team... maybe they just decided to leave the niggling and taunting and horrible cliquey stuff in this time?

Visgir1 Wed 25-Feb-26 15:09:27

I binge it... Wasn't sure at first but at times I thought it funny especially when they all got in the "Rib" while it was still on land, paddles at the ready, then one of the girls said, let's put it in the water first... Classic!
Can't believe they booted out 6 Traitors, the Traitors where really poor. Glad the girls won it and those lads got booted off.

Not a patch on the UK version, this is the first one I have seen from another country.

I was less keen on the Irish one, too. I’m not sure why, but it didn’t hit the spot somehow.

The Irish has been my least favourite series. I enjoyed the final, but the endgame was slightly different in that usually the last few voted off didn't reveal whether traitor or faithful, making a more tense finish.

NotSpaghetti Wed 25-Feb-26 10:54:19

Mine too Sparklefizz
No idea why!

I actually felt OK about Nick - but he changed markedly as he got close to the end so, like you, I was glad the 3 women won.

(And that Faye was voted out)

Sparklefizz Wed 25-Feb-26 09:45:32

I didn't like many of the contestants, especially not Faye or Nick, but I'm glad the 3 women won. The only one I liked was Oyin.

I am a great Traitors fan and have watched all of the series including the US, NZ and Australia - all available on iPlayer. If you want to see plenty of plastic surgery, some mad fashions and over-acting, watch the US versions.

The Traitors Ireland comes bottom of my list.

NotSpaghetti Wed 25-Feb-26 09:38:44

Yes. The final was at least quite good I thought.
I can only think that the chaos was caused by Faye (think she was Faye? The blonde one).

Grannynannywanny Tue 24-Feb-26 23:17:03

I watched and enjoyed the final last night.

NotSpaghetti Tue 24-Feb-26 23:12:05

So disappointed in this version.

Devorgilla Wed 18-Feb-26 20:09:17

I'm enjoying it but not as much as the others. I grew up in Northern Ireland so like the banter and squabbles. People do talk very fast over there but, given how much they are squabbling, it's the only way to get heard. I hope they tailor subsequent ones better. I hope the women wise up to the conspiracy of men.

NotAGran55 Wed 18-Feb-26 15:58:32

I’m a huge Traitors fan but just can’t get into this one. I’m going through the motions of resting my eyes on it just get to the end. iPad on the go at the same time.

I’m not bothered who wins!

NotSpaghetti Tue 17-Feb-26 15:36:50

shysal I agree.
I can't warm to any of these remaining women.

As Jo(?) said - I hope one of the men win it!

shysal Tue 17-Feb-26 14:46:53

I am still watching it, but it doesn't excite me. The last round table had so much 'I said, she said, you said' between the females that I lost interest.

Grannynannywanny Tue 17-Feb-26 09:51:52

How are you enjoying Traitors Ireland? Are any of you still watching it? I watched episodes 9 and 10 last night and I love it. I think the final 2 episodes are next week.

Devorgilla Wed 11-Feb-26 14:32:58

I find it a lot less 'contained' than the other ones in the sense that it seems to descend into chaos and squabbling pretty quickly. My husband, if he watched, would describe it as trying to marshall mice at a crossroads. They seem all over the place. Still, I am enjoying it and will stick with it.

Sparklefizz Wed 11-Feb-26 11:23:03

I am not getting on very well with the Irish Traitors, despite being a madly addicted Traitors fan. I can't stand all the shouting over each other added to the constant swearing. I'm not fussed by a bit of swearing in context but I have never heard so much from a group of people.

Devorgilla Sun 08-Feb-26 16:11:10

More Irish Traitors tonight. I'm beginning to get more into it, coming as I do from the Emerald Isle. Yes, they are a squabbling lot and inhabitants of the island do speak very fast. I love how territorial they are - 'another Cork man gone', ' and him a good Limerick man etc. Don't ever remember hearing comments like that on the other ones. I wonder who will be recruited.

shysal Wed 04-Feb-26 09:08:39

I have watched the first 6 episodes of the Irish. The arguments are driving me mad, they are so unnecessary and spoken so fast that I can't keep up with them, nor can the subtitles!
I like Siobhan on the Pottery Throwdown, she has a cheeky sense of humour, I think she will settle into the Traitors role.

Grannynannywanny Tue 03-Feb-26 17:09:47

She’s not growing me as the presenter but she is growing on me 😆

Grannynannywanny Tue 03-Feb-26 17:07:09

I watched the most recent 2 episode of the Ireland Traitors last night and I’m really enjoying it. I think that was episodes 5 and 6. Interesting to see how the traitors are turning on each other this early on. Heated arguments last night. Siobhan McSweeney is growing me as the presenter.

Sparklefizz Mon 02-Feb-26 08:36:41

Doodledog

I wonder if they withhold the money to stop any leaks. It must be difficult to keep something like that to yourself, and if someone starts splashing the cash uncharacteristically it might lead to speculation?

Agree. That makes sense.

NotSpaghetti

We are finding the Irish version rather dull to be honest.

Not much gravitas and not very interesting characters. Sadly.

Agree sadly #Irish woman.

I've just started watching the US version. One of the contestants was doing a little chat to the camera about herself and her background. She told us an interesting and true fact about her family - her great great great grandfather was Sherlock Holmes' cousin. Absolutely serious and clearly proud of this family distinction

I kid you not.

lemsip Fri 30-Jan-26 21:24:26

can't get into the Irish one. They need a Claudia!

Elrel Fri 30-Jan-26 20:08:02

I am enjoying the Irish version although their traitors seem to be less than united!
