New thread.

Lisa's warrant card should be safe enough in her own home. She'd not be expecting a nasty piece of work like Jodie to steal it.

Re the upcoming murder story.

Well, ITV has been putting out trailers for some time now, showing the five potential candidates, (see Sarnia’s comments).

I really don’t think it will be anyone outside these five.

On another note, how unhinged is Jodie? Stealing a police warrant card (granted, Lisa should have been much more careful with such an item), then harassing a girl she didn’t know and basically stealing her tablet and trying to ingratiate herself with Lily.

Who do I hope the victim is?

🤔

Grannynannywanny Sat 18-Apr-26 07:15:35

I agree with you Doodledog. I do my best to avoid spoilers.

Doodledog Sat 18-Apr-26 06:42:20

Who has told us the victim will be a surprise? What’s the point in having a ‘whodunnit’ story (or even a ‘who’s it going to be done to?’ one, if we are going to be told what’s going to happen?

Please - if anyone reads or hears the upcoming murder story, don’t spoil it for those of us who don’t know what’s going to happen? I would much rather see it all unfold, and I’m sure I’m not alone.

Those who saw Corriedale a couple of months ago may remember Jodie was tied up/handcuffed in the background of a van which was involved in the multi- vehicle pileup.
We are now told the victim will be a surprise, so could it be someone we haven’t seen yet, perhaps from Emmerdale and Jodie is the killer?

Yes Summer good girl let horrible Carl dob in the even more horrible Theo and then tell him to go whistle for his money!

Sarnia Fri 17-Apr-26 16:17:05

Corrie has promised us a murder in April. The victim is a shock, apparently, so in my mind that leaves out Carl, Jodie, Maggie, Megan and Theo out of the equation. I wonder who it will be?
Mind you, if Mary keeps mollycoddling poor Todd, he may snap and leave her with her toes turned up.

Calendargirl Fri 17-Apr-26 09:42:43

I think the nutty sister being referred to is Jodie BlueBelle.

Grannynannywanny Fri 17-Apr-26 08:22:29

In the opening scene when Kit and Lisa were interviewing Todd and photographing his injuries I thought Theo was dead. Much as I despise him I was relieved for Todd’s sake that he was still alive!

It shouldn’t have been up to Gary to apprehend Theo and take him to the police station. Surely a police car should have been dispatched right away before he had a chance to abscond. If our Craigy was still alive he’d have been strolling round the corner ready to pounce.

BlueBelle Fri 17-Apr-26 08:12:18

I said the same Todd would have been taken straight to hospital not interviewed in that medical state
It has been a well done storyline and I think Theo’s acting has been the best, extremely life like, the drawing in, pushing away, they got it spot on.

Who s nutty sister Allsorts ? Not with you !

Allsorts Fri 17-Apr-26 07:32:52

Just when I celebrated Theo going, he's out and his van hadn't been searched. As for Sarah, could anyone be that daft. Who is writing this? As for the nutty sister! Every:action and furtive glance is so obvious. Is no one remotely normal in the loosest sense if the term.

MarieElla Thu 16-Apr-26 22:55:42

Thank you Aveline...yes,I've been complaining about it for years too but rarely miss an episode grin

Aveline Thu 16-Apr-26 19:44:17

Welcome to the Corrie gang MarieElla. You'll find that we complain about Corrie most of the time but keep on watching it.

Jane43 Thu 16-Apr-26 14:56:25

Aveline

Absolutely. Very strange to go to Police station first.

Todd was adamant he wanted to be taken to the police station when Sarah went down to him.

MarieElla Thu 16-Apr-26 13:02:31

I have found my people!
I have been watching Corrie since the 70s!

Nannee49 Thu 16-Apr-26 12:43:24

On a more serious note, I thought the scene which highlighted the violence and trauma of abuse was very moving and brave of the producers to air it so directly. Well done.

Nannee49 Thu 16-Apr-26 12:36:08

It was a very good episode but marred for me by the stress of a) poor Todd not getting urgent medical attention and b) no squad car deployed immediately to arrest evil Theo.
I know it's not real but stillshock....and I'd just watched poor Bear on Emmerdale getting himself deeper in the mire. Needed a cup of camomile tea to deal with it all just before bedtime.

Absolutely. Very strange to go to Police station first.

Just what we said!

Great to see Theo locked up at last. Poor Todd, he looked pitiful. Great acting all round.

I couldn’t understand why they were interviewing Todd at the police station after such a severe beating. He should have been taken to A&E first. Then interviewed once he’d been checked over.

nanaK54 Wed 15-Apr-26 21:09:26

Such a hard watch but yes a really good episode which delivered an important message...

Calendargirl Wed 15-Apr-26 20:59:33

Corrie at its best tonight. Great acting all round.

Surely Todd should have been taken to hospital earlier?

Sarnia Wed 15-Apr-26 20:01:58

That has to be the best episode of Corrie I have seen for a while. I particularly liked the end where Swain was explaining what keeps women with their abuser. Sensitively done and Todd has played his part so well. I hope when the Soap Awards come round he gets some recognition for his performance.

Doodledog Wed 15-Apr-26 16:50:27

Yes, that would work well. Todd didn't going to be in a fit state to look after himself for a while, particularly if it comes out that Theo killed Billy.

Bukkie Tue 14-Apr-26 21:52:19

Poor Todd, I actually shed a tear when I saw the state of him in the closing scene. The actor who plays Theo is so convincing, nice one minute, pathetic the next and then truly menacing the next. I am actually on edge watching him and worrying what he will do next.
Todd you need to move in with Summer and look after each other.
