New thread.

Charleygirl5 Wed 13-May-26 19:05:54

Please no, I can't stand the sight of her.

Doodledog Thu 14-May-26 00:32:42

I have to admit that was my thought too😢.

Grannynannywanny Thu 14-May-26 09:01:49

I hope Daniel doesn’t present her with Sinead’s dressing gown to wear round the house.

I hope Daniel doesn’t present her with Sinead’s dressing gown to wear round the house.

For an educated man, Daniel is a prize idiot.

I hope Daniel doesn’t present her with Sinead’s dressing gown to wear round the house.

She can wear Ken’s slippers to finish the outfit off.

Did Jodie pick up Shona’s leather jacket? ( they seem to have the same one). Is Sam having a psychotic episode? Has Will got any expression other than miserable?

vegansrock Thu 14-May-26 21:38:17

Why doesn't Toyah. Recognise Sam needs urgent help? I thought she used to be a counsellor. But no doubt Wethy General will offer immediate psychiatric help - Aisha got treated and shes fine now.

nanaK54 Thu 14-May-26 22:08:31

Aww poor Sam sad

I rather liked Uncle Steve and Tim taking Will out for a curry!

Aveline Fri 15-May-26 06:39:04

Sam must just appear to Toyah as a typical teenager - busy with his own stuff and wanting to be left alone.

BlueBelle Fri 15-May-26 07:07:45

I quite like Will I think his acting has come on a lot and yes I think it was lovely when Tim and Steve took him out for a curry
Sam really gets on my nerves, I know he’s everyones favourite,
but he’s always grated on me, probably that whispery voice, but he’s never seemed a real character to me, he was ok when he was small and playing chess with Roy but now he just irritates

Calendargirl Fri 15-May-26 07:21:21

I’m sad they are evolving Sam like they are,

He had a lot to contend with, losing his mum, but he was always such a bright, mature lad for his age.

I think he would know to share how he’s feeling with all the caring adults around him.

Instead, he’s yet another victim of the writers wanting to dredge up these depressing storylines for one and all.

Why can’t they show that getting help and support in the early stages will make things so much better?

Aveline Fri 15-May-26 07:27:09

It's interesting to include a storyline involving a youngster hearing voices and hallucinating. Perhaps there's quite enough going on in Corrie at the moment without another big story though?

Dylis Fri 15-May-26 11:33:58

Why on earth would an (unnamed) University in the US be headhunting Summer?

Sarnia Fri 15-May-26 11:47:35

Dylis

Why on earth would an (unnamed) University in the US be headhunting Summer?

Wasn't she already accepted by an American university but chose to defer due to Paul's MND? Maybe they have asked what her plans are concerning them and she now decided to go.

Grannynannywanny Fri 15-May-26 14:12:13

I thought for a moment last night Todd was going to ask Summer if she killed Theo.

Dottydots Fri 15-May-26 16:21:12

Really, Corrie is a load of rubbish at the moment, but I carry on watching it and would be most upset if they pulled the plug on it.

Nannee49 Fri 15-May-26 21:44:35

It's just lurching from one dreary, depressing episode to the next.

Tonight's offering was dire...Sam spiralling with CreepyRoy personna taking over, weird Jodie getting even weirder, tedious, endless, toing and froing with Kit & Gary, Ben losing the plot, emptying the Rovers and no hot pot for Dev either!

nanaK54 Fri 15-May-26 21:57:46

Agreed.
I really don't like the Sam story line at all.
.

BlueBelle Fri 15-May-26 22:30:31

Well that was weird and I didn’t like it at all
What was all that with Roy ?? It went over my head what was it all about ??
Jodie makes Cassie look quite saintly

Charleygirl5 Fri 15-May-26 22:52:04

I find it all so depressing. Certainly not a laugh a minute.

MayBee70 Fri 15-May-26 23:04:26

Glad this thread has popped up; I was searching for it. I don’t watch it but I was channel hopping tonight. Is Mrs Doyle from Father Ted actually in it?

Calendargirl Sat 16-May-26 06:57:32

The business with Roy is all in Sam’s head BlueBelle.

Plus the incidents with Will threatening him.

The scriptwriters won’t be happy until Sam has a full melt down.

And yes, MayBee, ‘Mrs Doyle’ is Maggie, the mother from the pub.

Chocolatelovinggran Sat 16-May-26 08:36:42

I was slightly amused when Cassie refuted Jodie's accusations of being old by saying that she hadn't been scammed, or had lunch in a garden centre today.

Nannee49 Sat 16-May-26 11:37:04

Yes, Chocolatelovinggran that was a nugget of Corrie gold amongst all the drosssmile

Cabowich Sat 16-May-26 13:34:49

The current story regarding Sam is awful. Would a child having a nervous breakdown really hallucinate to that extent? I just found it all ridiculous.
