For anyone interested, Mock The Week is returning on the TLC channel (Feb 1st I think). Looks like lots of familiar faces returning (Dara hosting) - they promise the usual categories plus some new additions as it's extended to an hour. I believe it's 8 episodes for now, hopefully will be a regular.

That’s good news, I never understood the decision to cancel it.

Me too. So much “interesting “ news for them to digest too 😂

Not a minute before time. Love this programme. Great to see it back.

I mourn That Was The Week That Was: so scathingly satirical. And its a pity Spitting Image is no longer on free to air TV.

Well that’s great news!
Thanks for the update!

I couldn't understand why they cancelled it either as it was one of the better shows on TV. It was yet another short sighted decision by the BBC and now it looks like they've lost it for good.

Hoorah!!! I was outraged when this was cancelled, I live Dara and this show! Long may it last grin

I’m pretty sure it’s because the BBC didn’t wish to be seen condoning satire often aimed at whatever govt was in power. I love this show, and Have l got News for You.
